I actually like the very clean-cut comic-book look as they are going to be used for Superhero games.

I will use them for Gangsters as well, but I think they will look fine.

These buildings seems to come from a classic comic book. Really inspirating, I NEED to find that cork sheets. I tried several hardware stores here (France) and never found anything but "poster-style" cork, really expensive, soft and...expensive  lol

I agree  about a little touch of weathering, but again the result is already great. I guess it depands of the style you want to keep : classic comic, or more modern/dark comics.

Cork tiles have gone completely out of fashion here in DK, it seems - but I guess the same techniques/templates could be applied to foamboard of the right thickness....

Very cute town/cityscape. For some reason, I have not yet played supersystem, although I have 3 painted supers, a super-villain and 2 groups of henchmen readily painted...  :? One wonders why, as even my regular gaming buddy is much into supers....  ::)

On the other hand, we have to put up with screw-top wine bottles!

We all have to. Latest news is that screw-tops preserve the wine better (just a bit better than rubber 'corks').

Also, cork supplies are dwindling worldwide.  :? As soon as they can figure out a way for aluminum to not effect the taste, wine will be shipped in that too.

The things you learn working in a Liquor Store...  lol

Technically not, but the cork corks may apply to spumantes, too  lol

If you drink it from the bottle it probably does.

I've got these packs here also, but I don't think it's the product used for the Cork city. It's too thin and soft, and the texture is very crude.  ???

Yes, but you loose the interesting natural texture we can see on cork buildings. That texture is one of the major interests of cork building : giving a nice texture the easy way ( no need for textured paint or whatever). The cork is also (I guess) more durable than bare foamboard.

All a matter of availability.  :)
