Corgi The Golden Compass Magisterium Carriage

Last night I picked up the Corgi Magisterium Carriage from the movie The Golden Compass.  It is beautiful and perfect for 28mm figures.  If you haven't seen this die cast gem, google Corgi The Golden Compass Magisterium Carriage and take a look.  It is great!

They are (or were) pretty common a couple of years ago appearing on the clearance racks of Pound shops and even Toys R Us.  I picked up a bunch for around $1 a piece along with the Airship and Scorsby's balloon.  LAffers have been tweaking them for quite some time:

I see one of those sites is trying to sell them off for $45 a piece.  I guess I'm sitting on quite an investment    lol

Sterling, I may have come to the dance late, but I'm glad I arrived.  I picked mine up at Big Lots! which is like a dollar store.  They were selling for $6.00 each.  Not quite as good as a $1 a each but its still a really nice item for that money.  I haven't seen the airship or balloons.  Are they more of a scale that would serve 15s rather than 28s?  Anyway, thanks for pointing me at the previous postings.  Congrats on your good fortune.  Richard

As Stirling says this is covered over on the VSF board. There are several threads there detailing waht to do with these models :)
