Greens - Mudmen (Tribe set now available p.2)
« on: November 25, 2011, 02:47:59 PM »
I've been sculpting furiously this week and thought I'd share these dudes with everyone. There are four here and a fifth not quite finished. They'll be going for casting this week.

They are my pulp-style version of Mudmen. I wanted to make some very primative folks for VSF and Pupl adventures and the idea of guys with giant mud heads creeping through the jungle appealed.

Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers
Ian KH

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I like those - suitably different in style.

Nice sculpts even if they don't appeal for some wargamers they can cut of the heads and attach some plastic heads from the upcoming zulu sets from warlord games and empress.

Nice and different  8)

The figures could be wearing masks I suppose if the mudman route doesn't appeal. Nice bright colours would do the job  :)

...and relatively easy to do.

Not too sure about the nice bright colours, Jimbibbly  :)
On the other hand, this may just be an undercoat, heh heh.

And I was thinking they only existed in an  old black & white movie. Very useful though.

Wow, I wonder if that's where John Boorman got the idea for the Zardoz stone head masks.   :o ;D

I think you'd have to do them with bright colours to give them more of a Hollywood pulpy feel  :)

Sure will. They are being cast this week and will be available through www.fiendishfabrications.com.au
I'll be posting them on here when they're ready.
