Wonderful

Really liked this when I first saw it on SD. The cannonball is a fantastic and imaginative addition.

ON ANOTHER FORUM?

Great painting, not so great sculpt. Scibor should stick to press-moulding GW stuff, which appears to be his true calling.

Why is this a "not so great sculpt", Arthur? Could you give us more details?

I was gonna say, this is a fantastic sculpt, with a gorgeous paintjob! I like the use of the Dollshouse table and yep, the cannonball is a great and imaginative addition that really gives it a sense of time and place.  ;)

It's a nice mini, and a great paintjob, but what's the deal with those whiskers? If he's supposed to be Napoleon, the whiskers make him look a bit too british in my eyes?

Fan-bloody-tastic paint job admiral! ;D

The model must be one of those love/loathe type miniatures. I think its cracking! As previously stated, good use of the dolls house furniture. Dam! I wish mine looked that real!! :'(

Yep, saw this on SD forum too, glad to see it here.  This is the kind of interpretation of a mini that I want to see every day, great job!

I think he's supposed to be an actual-fantasy-dwarf version of Napoleon, rather than a caricature of the real thing.  Scibor makes lots of dwarfs.

That's exactly the point, Steve. It's the dwarven version of Napoleon.

The best KIND of Napoleon.

Only way it could be better was as a prudish elf (that's a bit short).  lol

I like it, what you have done with it is just great.

What's the deal with these press moulding comments regarding scibor, this is the second time I've seen negative stuff about him.
Sorry do not want to derail the thread away from your great work admiral I like his dwarfs and am just curious,

cheers

Well, I don't know enough about Scibor's early GW-conversions and stuff he did years ago, but it seems there is a bunch of people hating him for whatever reasons (concentrating themselves on another forum ...). In my view Scibor is a very talented and creative sculptor NOW with a great output of fantastic miniatures. And that is all what counts for me.
