PacWar USMC Characters not 'John Wayne' and Co
« on: November 27, 2011, 10:33:55 PM »
Hi guys,

Painted these miniatures below sometime ago and was please with the overall mixed HBT and camo for my USMC Raiders who were being issued the new cams during their operations in the Solomon islands during WW2.

Brigade Games/Company B PacWar range offers a character pack which is just new since they were only available when you ordered six packs or more. The not 'John Wayne' is quite nice alongside his partner which I've converted using a head from the flamethrower character to make my XO using the dismounted USMC tank crew. I think he looks quite the guy for this appointment.

Miniatures designed by Paul Hicks.

I've some Warlord Games USMC which I'm looking forward to paint and will post results soonest.

Thanks for looking.

Helen

Best wishes,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Fine painting on the figures.
When I first looked at the figure on the right,
 Hey, there is Chesty Puller.
A fine conversion, very well done.

Thanks guys for your kind words. They were fun to paint.

I'd to look up Chesty Puller thinking it was a singlet commercial. Very highly decorated in the USMC during WW2, thank you.

Some touch ups since viewing them on the big screen, but nothing to dramatic.

Cheers,

Helen

Superb work, especially on the pants/hat and ammo pouches!
Love the contrasts and the blendings.
