PacWar Japanese
« on: April 21, 2010, 11:24:51 AM »
Hi Guys,

Michael B took some photos of my latest painted Japanese. The good luck flags were made for me by Michael Broadbent and the kneeling nco was a conversion from the original by Michael Broadbent. The original had a pistol, cap and no sword.

The Ragged Japanese are packs II and III respectively.

Thanks for looking,

Helen

They really look good Helen, nice work.
Don’t get me wrong but you painting seem to improve with each new figures you post on LAF… not that they were bad to begin with ;)

Thanks guys for your kind comments.

@ Calimero, my first painted miniatures really sucked - just ask Peder when he received my early Sikhs. I suppose that was over two years ago and have worked on the craft through practice and reading blogs/forums. Cracking the colour code was the key to opening new doors into the craft.

It seems quite surreal now that I've my own painting business and have loads of commissions. I'm naturally very humbled by all this and thank my friends especially Michael an Ailsa.

Cheers,

Helen

Really nice work there Helen, reminds me I must get round to watching  "Message from Iwo Jima" again, have only seen it on the back seat of a plane coming back from the US.

Nice work. I have to say that your colour choices look much more realistic than my pulp/movie paintjobs.
