Cheers for the comments everyone! Unfortunately I've been bit by the flu recently and haven't had much luck in painting up more soldiers. I am however going to paint up some more troops for an Alien Empire - problem is I can't decide on how to paint them! ::)

As for the prepaint then it is a repaint of the prepaint; the details on the Roo'killian Ape was not that good. And yes, the 407th are EM4 Military Dudes. Although I've promised myself not to purchase any more miniatures this year I still need some more of those troopers in order to present a full platoon. Ah well, the best laid plans and all that... ;)

It lives!... IT LIVES! (sounds of thunderbolts, lightning and manical laughter)

So... This project got a bit sidetracked as my old computer up and died a couple of months ago. But now, as I have returned to the net with a brand new computer (and having had ample time to play a whole host of computer games) I've finally started to upload pictures of my Space Chronicles project.

I'm planning on getting an actual game in this setting (gasp!) next Thursday, so hopefully this Painting Project will soon increase to a Painting and Gaming Project! Stay tuned ;)

Very nice! Provided you know it, who manufactures the white-and-green robots/aliens in the second pic? I really like those, somehow.

Thanks! And, oh, I do know, but they are now - sadly - OOP :(

They're Skinnie Royal Guards from Mongoose ill-fated Starship Trooper line of miniatures. They do have a special something don't they? Unfortunately, I found the sculpts a bit hard to put paint on; the details are somewhat crude but they have a look that I really care for. I plan to expand the Saari faction (as I'm calling them in the setting) with a couple of more soldier that I've picked up here and there :)

Looking good Torben. Though the pictures don't seem to quite do them justice having seen them last night, especially the Pit Beast.

Cheers Duncan, and no - sadly there's just something off with the pictures, and I can't figure out what's up with it this time around. I think I'll have to try and shoot some new pictures during daylight.

Oh, and btw. Doctor Thygestein (the mad doctor pictured at the top) is bound to make an appearance when we give Space Chronicles a try next week ;)

So, how did your gaming sessions go? Any more painted figures?  :-*

Unfortunately, we never got around to playing any games I'm afraid. We couldn't really find the time, then life happened and all that. However, I'm hoping to revive this project - on the side, while I plug away at Fireteam Andromeda - and to kick things off here's a quick preview of a classic model:

So, I finally managed to write up the draft edition of the Rosetta System that I intend to use for this project. For those interested it can be downloaded at the following link: http://terminusnebula.blogspot.dk/p/downloads.html

And I also painted a small hovershuttle for the pilot above:

Nice to see another casevac painted up!

I bought mine as soon as Daemonscape re-released but it's just been sat there waiting to be undercoated..
One of these days I'll get round to it,how have you attached it to the base just out of curiosity?

Oh and had a quick look at the rules they look interesting I will print them off and give them a read at some point, is the pilot an old Gw mini perchance?

Yes, I'm also eyeing some of the Daemonscape stuff, especially their big dropships, to use as objectives and scenery.
As for basing mine, I did so with some magnets, actually. However, the result is rather shoddy as the Caseevac is a rather hefty beast and the magnets I used aren't really up to snuff. I simply glued on a magnet at the bottom of the Caseevac and glued another magnet on top of a transparent GW flying-base-stick. However, I should have used something just a wee bit bigger. I stays put, but a slight breeze knocks it off the stick :\

Happy to hear that you're giving them a read through; hope they'll be of some use to you :) And yes, the pilot is an old GW mini :)

I have never heard of Damonscape but that hovercraft is nice!

Nice oooold feeling to it. In a slightly different scheme it would have been right in for Dune.  lol
