Figure by Reaper Miniatures, heavily converted. The operator is by Hinterland Miniatures and included for atmosphere.

Changes include but not limited to:
--Handswaps, including scratchbuilding the guns
--Sculpting the feet and the front hem.
--Sculpting the entire back of the skirt
--Sculpting the back of her hair
--Adding spokestacks, thresher implements, and such
--Constructing the control box, tethers, and such so that I could use it with any other mini whose hand happens to approximate the right height.

And I admit it, I glued gears to the base and painted it brown so I could call it steampunk. I'm a bad man.

The figure demanded to be made, and has not told me yet where she came from.  However, I imagine it's something like this:

In 1723, the pirate ship Avarice went down with all hands shortly after departing Bermuda for parts unknown.  Though her crew perished, the hatred and greed that drove them imbued the ship, whose figurehead remained though the rest of the timbers rotted away.

On January 1, 1890 when Atlantis arose again, the Dark Maiden found herself stranded on a cliffside in plain air.  She immediately set about her former quest, though soon fell afoul of a Martian Hinterlander patrol led by the octopoid Doctor Pim, defector from Venus.  Fifteen soldiers died before she was subdued and dragged into Dr. Pim's workshop where he labored and smelted for weeks until he had bound her spirit to a clockwork monstrosity for the battlefield.

Since then, she has been seen only rarely in battle, more often turning on her own handlers than their enemies, but always recaptured and reconditioned for the next time.  Reports of her performance are few, for those who know aren't telling, and those who would tell are dead.

I didn't think she needed the base accoutrements to be Steampunk. Yes, you're a bad man... 

However, and I know there may be strong disagreement, Steampunk flavor, which won't overwhelm your forces by a long shot, is certainly a worthy spice to add to the mix!

Any thoughts on what her GASLIGHT or FUBAR stats should be?  I've hit the point where I've done all the permutations I can think of for various units and special rules.
