Good set of VSF skirmish / rpg rules?

Looking for something that could be used for both minis battles and light roleplaying.  Possible choices so far are GASLIGHT, Tanzanica (a web based Mordheim conversion) and Savage Worlds, using the Rippers and Red Sands supplements.

Other ideas, or comments on the above?

The savage worlds rules have a FREE skirmish wargame variant. Including a point build system and a lot of openings for role-playing elements.

Space: 1889 is a good choice.

There is a supplement to "The Sword and the Flame" called "The Sword in Africa" which really works out great for skirmishing games, but I have added alot of modifications to work with VSF. The only thing is that you will have to provide the role playing part.

Never yet tried TSATF.  Considering the number of fan-made supplements written for it, it must be a good game, but I never heard that it was useful for rpg?
