I've posted pictures and account/synopsis of Wednesday's Blandings Castle/Operation Seelowe game. Its very tongue-in-cheek, not for the WWII purist at all  ;)

Excellent! Thoroughly enjoyable!  :-*

The soul cries out for a battlefield role for Emsworth's various implacable sisters tho' (analagous to Bertie Wooster's terrible aunts)  ;)

Didn't say whose senior moment.  :o

Sadly, my Wodehouse is reduced to owning and watching the Fry and Laurie series.  lol

Oh, John, what an admission... And it was my senior moment by the way, it just slipped my mind. Hope my mind will be sharper during our game next week.... ;)

Where did you get the castle?

Having bought a load of VBCW figures and seeing this, I am coming around to the idea of a 1939-40 game and losing much of my late war stuff.  I will never finish a lot of my projects if I don't start some pruning............  :o

Looks like you had a fun battle.
Love the idea of the pigs.
I have a pigpen I use in games where I can work it in.
Always seems to be alot of fighting around it.
Maybe they are after the bacon. :D

I got it at Wargamer,  the Great Barr show, in December 2009 I think, from a gamer selling off his stuff before he emigrated. I paid £20 for it in the state you see it in, and I thought it a bargain. I'm not sure, but I think its the old Ian Weekley 'Battleground' range as its in light foam. Perhaps its still available through JR {?}
