Another Indian Mutiny Day at Bickley Towers
« on: December 24, 2011, 08:46:02 PM »
So, I must be house-trained as I got another invite for a special day out.

Sight unseen I opted to be the Mutineers and here is the layout with Mine Host:

The British had to capture the guns to win, the Mutineers had to defend them.

Luckily I had a secret weapon; my dice Tower of Power....................

The Cavalry Melee on the left flank was decisive win for the Mutineers, the British cavalry and their lackies were utterly routed and fled.

The Badmash were defeated on my right flank, but that was irrelevant..........

.... the real action was in the centre.  Despite a gallant push by the infantry, they failed to take the guns and were beaten off.

The Raja of Rhanli's Guard had a first outing that saw them victorious with no injuries.

Their moment of triumph.

With the centre repulsed, the mutineers begin a general advance and the British retired to their cantonments for tea and tiffin.  The Nabob of Nham enjoyed, yet again, the sweet smell of success.  :D

All in all, another brilliant day's gaming on excellent terrain with beautiful figures.  Can't remember who wrote the rules, but I'm sure he'll tell you...... :D

Hoorah. Looks like an excellent days adventuring. You sir are the envy of the forum I suspect. Bravo and thank you for sharing this with us lesser mortals and fans of the Great Game.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

Well, Dave is an excellent host and it is a privilege to go there.  I hope when I retire that I can produce such an excellent set-up.

Very kind sentiments, John, and much appreciated ~ although they don't yet sooth the memory of a severe thrashing for my British army.... :'(
Kind of you to mention my rules too ~ still available from Caliver, Mutineer and Dave Thomas for those of you who have some Christmas cash still unspent. :D
Happy Christmas!

You put a freshly-painted unit on the table for its first game, and it didn't get trashed?  :o Incredible!

;)

Seriously, lovely stuff! Thanks for sharing.

Using pictures John kindly provided, supplemented by a couple from the archives...

Pop over to the blog for a look and think about becoming a Follower while you're there perhaps.
