Russian Kiev Grenadier Regiment (Napoleonic)
« on: 28 December 2011, 09:24:54 AM »
After "Mass-Painting" of French and Westphalians now starting the Russians.

Here the "Kiev Grenadier Regiment" ca. 1813 based for Black Powder; incl. casualty markers (for a large unit stamina of 4).

All Figures from Warlord Games (Plastics and two fallen figures from their additional metal range) except the officer and two of the Strelki platoon (Pict. 1; right side).
These are conversions from the Perrys Prussian Plastic Box. Also one or two figures with headgear conversions to forage cap.
Painted in "Analogue Classic Style": No Army Painter   :)

Very nicely done indeed. The best I have seen these particular figures by a very long way.

Great stuff. Nothing like the advance of well-painted mass ranks!  :)

Beautiful stuff, I love Napoleonic Russians - I think the Russians and the Grand Duchy of Warsaw had the best looking uniforms and if I ever get into Napoleonic gaming I will base my choice of army solely upon that  :D

Really excellent!

I've not been impressed with the painting of plastics generally but these look really good and just as detailed as some of the excellent metal Foundry Russians done by the Perrys.

Might even tempt me to try plastic sometime.

Cheers,

Paul

Me too.
Although that would imply Army Painter is 'digital' and some kind of ingenious modern invention.
As opposed to good old fashioned varnish gloop, cunningly packaged and marketed ;)
