At that scale don't bother making individual trees for woodland areas. Just make trunks etc for the edges of it and then fill the interior regions with the foliage. Of course having individual trees dotted near the edges improves the illusion. For sparse trees then yeah, you need to do what you're doing but it looks good :)

So you decided having two holes side by side at the board edges was the lessor evil? I think it'll be fine.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Actually not, three of the six sides will have the holes, the other three will be on the adjacent hexagons. it should work, i think ^^

Well, for the jungle we will think about something like this. for the moment it is a not very dense wood, so it's ok. of course, for bigger chunks of jungle, we will have to sort something out like this! =)

It'll certainly work, but it does half the configuration options. Given the overall configuration over multiple tiles that shouldn't be an issue though.

that's right. but i've computed that the possible outputs for a 16 tiles field are still more than 10^15. Enough for gaming one or two time a month! ;)

Still, i don't like that, but that's the best option around here! ^^

Interesting concept, but seems difficult to execute, large scale.

Noticed what seems to be telescoping stands...  ;D

well, this time i've the luck to have 2-3 friends working with me. so i can split the tedious work while together. making trees is not that crazy, you can make 300 per hour each one, so it should be ok!
same for the holes and the preparation of the hexagons. it is quite a crazy project, but not THAT impossible! ;)

yep! We don't have rules implemented for this, but i wanted to have it for any eventual change of rules!

Anyway, some more progresses on the first tile! =) Added some other kind of vegetation, the trees will wait after my bachelor degree!

still a lot of work to do: the vegetation is far from being finished, and it is only one of the 7 pieces needed for the smallest minimum table!

Now finishing the ground: It needs a good brushwork and - more importantly - LOADS of vegetation!
