after paul, one of the escape committee club members brought up his fantastic winter terrain dock and flower class corvette:-

for the first naval engagement a few months ago, i was longing to get my playmobil ship conversion progressing a bit farther.
this is how i got it,

although there is a roof for the bridge it was not what i wanted for my giant cargo ship, so it had to go,

and i had to make a new platform for it to sit on,

and get rid of the original bridge fitting points,

i decided to use plasticard to make the bridge and with big projects like this i tend to make it up as i go along, one reason why it took so long before getting it to this stage,

i then turned my attension to the bow and wanted a new platform for the anchor winches and other fittings,

again after making a template in cardboard i used thick plasticard to make a new deck,

the figure is a 1/76th nato figure, as you can see it is quite a big boat,
and this is as far as i got up until last weekend,

i still have the lifeboats, derricks, winches, radar, ladders, railings and other small details to add on after they arrive from a model ship supllier, just need some crew figs to sort although i may have to convert some of mine, and then to paint it.
i will post more pics as i make more progress and when the fitting arrive and are fitted to it,
i now of course need to make a dock myslef for the normal city/urban terrain as it may not fit in paul's dock!
as usual more pics here:-
