I'm currently painting Polish-Lithuanian Volunteers (pictures will be up tomorrow) but in the meantime I thought it might be interesting to take a look at the contents of the Polish-Lithuanian Levied Nobility/Volunteer boxed set from Wargamer:

So nice! I haven't got my Cossacks done yet. I struggle to clean the flash off the riders as they're really quite delicate. Not that there's much, they're lovely figures. When's the English translation meant to be out again?

Sadly the English version seem to be delayed, no date is given but the original May release is probably pushed to the summer months. A couple of months ago I received roughly half of the English translation and they had translated all of the rules of the first half of the rulebook - the army list, scenarios and history part was left. Quality of the translation was very good and they said they pushed the date so that the English version was on par with the Polish language version.

I can say that it is worth the wait, but too bad about the delay. I think the game will be a smash hit once released in English.

Third out of four cavalry companies. Just one more to go and I have a complete 3 regiment strong army. Last company, the regimental command and the divisional general will follow shortly. Had hoped to have finished this project last week but my last week at school proved to be a lot busier than I had anticipated.

Last cavalry company finished. Currently painting the regimental commander to lead these guys, and the divisional general who will lead the army.

Last two bases for my Polish-Lithuanian army. The divisional general leading the 3 regiments, and the regimental commander who will lead the Volunteer regiment.

More pictures of them both on my blog. Army pictures will follow shortly :-)

Some (crappy) army pictures - if only my camera could handle wide angles and my room was a bit less dark. Perhaps I'll be able to take better pictures today during the big game.

20+ pictures from different angles are up on my blog:

I've been working on the latest addition to my Polish-Lithuanian army for the past couple of days. A Pike & Shot regiment made up of "Old type" infantry to make up my Royal Guards regiment. Started painting the command base first to try out what colors I would use for the regiment and to hand paint the flag which always takes a bit of time. I'll post pictures of the complete unit tomorrow.

Great work as usual Anatoli. Nice to see more of your ”by fire and sword” collection.
A period we see all to little about.

Thanks, a big game coming up this Sunday, with lots of additions to the local armies. I may end up defending, for once, against a huge Swedish army  ;D
