By Fire And Sword - Gosiewski Foray skirmish force
« on: April 25, 2014, 08:30:10 AM »
Bought last Thursday night (17th April) after a demo at Stafford Games, based and undercoated Saturday evening, started work proper on Sunday and finished last night (24th April)

Reckon these have come out ok for a few evening's work :) Pics in the iffy light of my kitchen (wasn't quite light enough at this time of the morning) ...

The soft/brittle metal was a bit of a b##ger with having to drill out and re-glue several broken horse tails and a few riders legs snapping off which then needed a bit of green stuff and glue to fix in place with careful placement on the stands; but overall not too bad :)

Now, a dilemna ... do I expand the Poles or go for another skirmish force ???  8)  ...

Great job and perhaps you could post a few more close up pics  in a better light as I'd love to see more detail especially considering you built, based and painted this whole lot in a week!
Impressive effort..congrats and please post more when you decide on your new purchases.I'm having my first game/demo next week and have the rulebook on order as some friends are raving about it so lots to look forward to
Good moaning

Love it - of the BF&S Muscovites I bought at last year's Salute, I have painted the grand total of 12 horses... I admire the ability to paint so quickly!

They look great, especially that basing - flower tufts?
I suggest another skirmish force; for me the rulebook is such that I want to play every army (although at my rate of painting that good be a while) - the Cossacks look like a great force to play with, and quite distinctive from the Poles.

Go for a second faction, so you can have a "guest army" for non-BF&S gamers to try against you. Cossacks are nicely distinctive, and also the Gosiewski Foray's historical opponent if I'm remembering right.
