Dr. Argos and the Argonauts
« on: 25 January 2012, 09:19:13 AM »
Hi,

For my 7TV casting, I made the team of Dr. Argos and the Argonauts.

For the Dr Argos, I use Cloverdash from Reaper miniatures, the argonauts are robots from Black Cat bases (I have three of them) and Talos is a made-in-china toy from the movie The Iron Giant.  Sorry for bad quality of picture.

Excellent! Argo and the Argonauts might go into production later this year, once to lock down the rest of the CD release schedule.

Very cool indeed!  8)

The copper/bronze finish, combined with the top hat gives them a very steam punkish feel, even though they're for 7TV.

Here; have a bucket of Like  :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Fantastic idea for Talos, I've got 3 of those but plan to use them for something else.

For those who have no idea who Argo is, he's from our 7TV setting!

"Doctor Ulysses Argo is a twisted genius, the epitome of the mad scientist who terrorises the world with his doomsday devices and iron legions of robots.

Whether it is his scheme to take control of England’s technology on Decimal Day or to steal the minds of the world’s greatest geniuses, Argo returns time and again, seeking vengeance with one diabolical plan after another.

Argo is known for headline-grabbing assaults on British landmarks abetted by his infamous mechanical monsters. Few can forget his automated Argonauts marching up the steps of the British Museum, his giant bronze henchman Talos relentlessly pursuing victims through the London Underground, or the bone-chilling bellow of Argo’s tripod walker as it straddled the Thames. With the crazed brilliance of Dr Argo at the helm, the Argonauts have continued to bedevil both Department X and The Man From 2000, ever intent on establishing total technological domination!"

Beg to differ. Bob Morane is a Belgian character :
