Zombicide, promising looking board game:
« on: 28 January 2012, 11:23:08 PM »
Spotted some info about a Cool Mini distributed French Designed board game called Zombicide.

Sounds like it will come with loads of miniatures, albiet most likely cheapo plastic, but the sculpts look very promising:

Board Game Geek has some pretty good info

http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/113924/zombicide

Looks pretty interesting.

Is that a construction worker zombie with a dust mask? Love it, reminds me of Fragile...

sounds good!  :-*
nice minis I'd really like to paint. I'm just wondering wich scale they are. I read there are 71 figs inside! and nice tiles too.
The game seems cool too...It could be a easy chance for me to play my first zombie game ever :)
thanks for sharing supervike

Haha, according to the concept art one of the PCs is Chuck Norris:

Using the squares from the cutting mat in some of the BGG pics as a guide, they appear to be 32mm to the eyes.

Waiting to get confirmation from someone who knows best, but so far, looks good.

Hope that helps.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

From what I know, game designers were once part of Rackham (Confrontation, AT-43). This should give an idea of what thay may achieve. Plus, if the minis meet Rackham's average level and size, it'll be great ^^
There's little to be found on official pages, but the game is sheduled for august so I'll have an eye on it here:

lol, atually, as the game is to be directly released in english, I guess there shouldn't be much problems with translation ... but can't be sure about the rules themselves  ;)

He can just *will* the zombies brains to be destroyed.
On a side note, I heard several of the scuptors working on the Chuck norris figure have gone blind from his awesomeness while trying to sculpt his image.

Probably true! Even at 28mm, the Chuck would be able to roundhouse kick a grown man into a pulp. And it would be awesome...

Still; if they want to make this a balanced game, with Chuck Norris in it, they will friggin' well need a lot more zombies than a paltry 70, let me tell you! :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
