Quick snap of a recent piece. I'll take a better shot later. Client requested to leave the base bare.

I don't really like the models but I can't argue with the painting.

I was kind of indifferent towards the model at first but it's grown on me a lot since working on it and I'd even be tempted to buy some for myself. I wonder how one of these would look without the halberd and shield...?

Anyway, thanks for the comments all.  :)

Nice! The green tint to the bronze (or is it brass?) works wonderfully with the amazing work on the red. Fantastic!

Very crisp paint job.
Do you mind sharing how long it takes you to paint a model like that?

Very very nice. I'm not a fan of most of the Privateer Press miniatures, but with such a paintjob... wow! The smooth blending, the subtle tint of green. it has all been mentioned before, bit worth mentioning again how good everything goes together. You client is really lucky!
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

To be honest this piece took way too long to do considering it was a commission and I was therefore painting against the clock. I was just being a bit slow and cautious because I wasn't too familiar with the model and I wanted to make sure the end result was good enough. If I was to do another I'd get through it in much better time, probably several hours.

Thanks again for the comments folks.  :)

Beautiful!

I had considered some of these for VSF and with a paintjob like that you are not helping my overdraft!
