The wooten are wonderful...both the sculpts and the PJs.  Plus I love that you've used the buildings from the old GW book...I have the same ones on my gaming table right now...though they are in rougher shape...they are 20 years old at least!

And that FoW entry makes me want to look into that system...with units like that on the table how could it not be fun.

Cheers,

Blue

I agree, Blue - Flames of War is one of those games that I keep finding my mind wandering too, and this match-up doesn't help at all! I'm interested in those Wulfen too, though - where are they from?

Nice entry, Braxandur. Those Wolven are just lovely models, aren't they? 8) Good job on them.

Nice to see some FoW models on this LPL. Did you paint the unit markings? If so, awesome job!

The Wolfen will be from Confrontation  - and very nice they are too Braxandur.

Raz - yep, unit markings all painted on.  Hadn't realised how crap the picture was until I saw it on here.  Must improve photgraphic skills for round 4 onwards.

They are indeed Wolfen from Confrontation, from the late Rackham. I actually just mix the "good" and "evil" wolfen in one force and use them either as minotaurs, or as Ogre Bulls, depending on in which army they are  are used. I've collected enough for an entire army of them, but didn't know how huge the were until I tried to put them into a unit  lol
I have to say that the prepainted plastic wolfen are very pretty as well. There are actually two of them in this shot.

@Thargor: Thanks! I like you entry as well. The marking must be really small, but turned out very nicely and readable. For the rest and seeing more detail, I fully agree that better pictures always help a lot. Every year on my first 1-3 pictures I don't play too much with the settings of my camera, but when I see how much better (and sharper) the pictures of other entries are I start experimenting and they rapidly get better. Let's try that again this year :)

@Blue: The buildings are actually from my "Blood Bath at Orc's Drift set", something I'm actually thinking about again since the revival of the set over here :)
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Yeah shame that the game is gone. While not perfect, for me it was one of the more enjoyable fantasy skirmish games out there. enough depth, but not a lot of bookkeeping. Off course, I never painted any of the models during the time that the game was alive...

Still, I ended up with lot's of nice mini's though that scream for good paintjobs and most people don't mind if I use them in my warhammer armies either, so who am I to complain ;)
