Trail of Clues
« on: March 11, 2012, 10:22:33 PM »
Deep in the steamy equatorial jungles, Bruce Kane, along with his sidekicks Barbara and Dick, search for ancient native relics. Their goal is simple: get to as many of the artifacts before anyone else finds them. As they venture through the jungle, Barbara finds a native inhabitant to question about the whereabouts of the first treasure. The native points them in different directions as Bruce splits up from his trusty sidekicks.

Little do they know that the Jungle Princess Tigra, Shaytan, and her loyal monks are not far off as they also look for the relics.  Shaytan finds one of the artifacts being guarded by a fearsome native. The tiger separates from the group to pursue the treasure and native. Princess Tigra then goes to find another relic leaving her faithful monks to search for more.

On the other side of the jungle, Bruce has found an artifact. After he picks up the newfound treasure he is confronted by an angry native. Dick has also managed to find a relic near the base of an ancient temple. He has Barbara go on ahead to search for another artifact.
After Shaytan is finished with the native, she spots Bruce who has just finished taking care of a native of his own. Shaytan starts to charge across the jungle towards Bruce to take him out and claim his newly acquired relic. Dick is also having problems of his own as he is confronted by one of the Princess’s monks after he picked up an artifact of his own.

As Dick faces the monk, Barbara has found and picked up the last treasure. She is about to regroup with the others when Princess Tigra shows up on the other side of the temple and a brawl ensues. Barbara had just managed to knock Tigra into the pit in the center of the temple when another monk climbs the temple to protect the Princess.

Bruce fires at Shaytan with his pistol as she charges toward him. He slows her down significantly as the tiger becomes wounded from one of his gun shots. Barbara is having problems on the temple as Princess Tigra climbs out of the pit to help her monk. The Princess manages to push Barbara in the pit but only after she took out the monk. Barbara manages to fall through the pit just barely missing the spikes as she comes out the door of the temple. Dick, now finished taking care of the other monk is confronted by Princess Tigra.

Dick and Barbara go into hand-to-hand combat as Bruce is still trying to fight off Shaytan. They all have trouble holding their own against their enemy but manage to put some distance between themselves and their pursuers. Bruce, Dick, and Barbara get away with their lives and four out of the five ancient relics. Shaytan and Princess Tigra manage to hold onto one of the old artifacts and vow revenge for their fallen comrades. To be continued….

Great report.  :-*
It looks like you really had a good time.

I'm glad to see you are still gaming.

A lot of your dad's old photos have been dropped from Photobucket unfortunately.
I really miss some of those old pics.  :'(

You guys have a great collection of miniatures and terrain.

Nice to see you back on LAF, a great game report for what sounded like an awesome game.

Who makes the piles of skulls alongside your temple? Many places would be improved by a pile of skulls, I require some of my own!

 awsome !

Good to see you guys posting again. Very happy to be a playtester for Pulp Alley, these rules make for a great game .......... capturing a "pulp" flavor, ease of play , and most importantly fun. I use it for KKBB 60's spy action, as well as 1930's

The skulls are from Armorcast Battlefield Terrain. They're actually the "small pile" so you can get some that are even bigger.

Capt Croft, I love your sky pirates. Dad and I have been meaning to get some of those but haven't got around to it yet. Also, Dad tells me you live in SanDiego... So when are you taking me to Comicon? :D

And to everyone, thanks for all the kind comments. I actually had a lot of fun narrating, I'm glad everyone likes it :)
