Ooof! First new building of yours in month upon months (summer 2011, I think?)

Great stuff and great to see you back to work!

Hi there, your building is looking very good, indeed.
Just one thing seems odd to me:
I'd build the roof with shingles "peeking over the edges" instead of ending exactly at the edge of the walls (sorry as native german I don't know any better expression).
But the timber framework looks splendid!

Thanks for the feedback!
I always try to remember to do that, but usually it hits me after the roof is well under way. Some of my buildings are like that, some aren't.

Thanks for all of the comments folks, more coming soon...

Utterly stunning work....
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

I've had this little finch house floating around for a couple of years now, and have tried on several projects to fit it in somehow. Finally I just decided to build a project around it, and so I built a little corner shop from it. The toughest part of this building was the roof, the building is shaped pretty much like a baseball home plate, and designing a roof that looked ok took a few hours. Other than that, this one came together pretty quickly, took about 2 months start to finish.

Stunning building :-* :-* :-*
How do you do the stone work? Is it built with blocks of foam or just scribed? If scribed how do you get the effect of some of the stones sunk in and some protruding?

It is really not on, you know,
I am on to you. I know your game.

Going out and taking photos of real buildings and photoshopping your miniatures alongside them!

Its just not cricket!
 ;)

(It is still bloody lovely, though!)
