The Fish Folk & Friends look BEAUTIFUL all painted & based up. The Sailors are especially cool looking...they have the Eddystone Light playing through my head now. OUTSTANDING STUFF!
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Thanks, chaps, although the new stuff is mostly down to Jeff with me murdering the Sailor Captain and doing the basing.

I have replaced some of the earlier pictures as they were pretty ropey.
The new ones are better but not perfect.

I think, while I have the stuff out, it is time for a group shot of my Dagon Worshipping Cult.....

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

There are a fair few of the twisted little buggers now.
In fact, with the addition of the new Hybrids the Cult of Dagon has grown quite considerably.

Here ya go, The Esoteric Order of Dagon:

We are going to start a new campaign soon and I have a feeling these fellas will be playing a significant part.

That is a sinister host!  The models and terrain look awesome together.  It reminds me how understaffed my agency is.  All I've been painting is baddies.

Thank you.

It was about time that I filled out the Dagon worshippers, they had been understrength for a while now.

That is WONDERFUL NEWS! I've missed your OUTSTANDING battle reports, especially the BEAUTIFUL scenery, miniatures, & the photos of them.

Thanks, Al.
I am looking forward to starting up again and even have a new recruit or two for the new campaign.
 :D

In the meantime, here are a few shots from the last campaign we played, paying attention to including pictures of cars in some of the shots.
This is because I have had a couple of recent conversations regarding using toy cars to help set the scene for gaming in the period.

There are plenty more amongst the pictures in this thread (I just picked a few out between pg110 and pg125 or so) but give a fair representation of what I mean about using cars to set a 'period tone'.

I use the same scenery to make all kinds of set-ups for various genres, ranging from medieval to the present and encompassing fantasy and sci-fi as well.

A little 'set dressing' is all that is needed to move scenery through the ages and genres.
Or so I reckon, anyway....

Excellent photos that make your point clearly.  Period vehicles are the clearest indications of the when;  Unless you are playing a modern game at a vintage auto show :) .  Looks great!  I'm trying to think of other set pieces that might help but they aren't anywhere near as easy.  Maybe an art deco sculpture or Great War cenotaph.  Even the simplest things that should help suspend disbelief can make things look wrong;  I was recently looking into the appearance of telegraph poles in continental Europe.

The War Memorial......

With alternative statue topper that works a little better with the scale.....

Of course, Cult activity can affect proceedings.....
