Nice additions!! Looking forward to seeing them in action!!
Thanks, me too!
May have to see if we can come up with some rules for deployment by vehicle deeper into the table....of course, it will have to be risky!
Beautiful models! Who made them?
I think they are Matchbox, Models of Yesteryear.
(I will double check and alter this post if that is wrong!)
OOOH! COOL WHEELS! My first car was an ancient MGT; SO, although more vintage than that, these have a personal appeal to moi. Your Agents have some pretty classy transportation.
Thanks, DeafNala!
It seems you have some pretty classy tastes yourself!
Hi Mason... I just scored some rides myself... Question: are you going to base them? And if so on what? I'm thinking to mount them on a cd sized piece of cork but i'm really not sure whether its a good idea or not...
Hi Mo!
I am not a big fan of basing vehicles, as I like them to look 'natural' when they are placed on the gaming table.
I usually use green stuff (hidden underneath) to fix the wheels in place, so that they do not roll around.
If I do base a vehicle, I try to keep the base as small as possible, so as not to hinder the placement of the model on the tabletop.
Back to the subject of the Campaign.
Last week the first 'proper' campaign games, with three teams in action.
We were supposed to be playing four, but the second game went on for so long that there was not time.
In the first game, The LUCKswin's, his team Murphy's Law were in action.
Having played Retrieve the Artifacts (gaining 2 Map Pieces and a Scroll in the process) a couple of games ago, it was decided that the team had discovered enough vital information in that mission that the next had to be Bag Man, where he had to try and get this info back to his base to relay it back to Headquarters
(The story of the Bag Man mission he played was told on page 27 of this thread).
Following on from the Bag Man scenario, having gotten the information (a list of suspected addresses in the South of England that had connections to the Cult of the Purple-Headed Worm) back to HQ, Murphy recieved a telegram which told him that his home town village of Boghill would be destroyed in retaliation for his 'meddling'!
Hence the Scenario that he played this time was The Doomsday Device!
He had to save his place of birth from total destruction at the hands of the Cult.
The table set up for the game, with both sides deployed.

The van with the red container contained The Doomsday Device!
The Cult had sent some of most fanatical followers to guard the Device, including one of its Maniacs.
There was also a mysterious great-coated figure seen loitering in the ruins of the church amongst the heathen zealots.

The Ministry Team were gathered at the other end of the board, eager to foil this evil menace.

Two of the Agents had been sent down the right flank to attempt to approach the Cultists from that side

This flank attack , even though one of the Agents was taken down by Cultist gunfire, proved very sucessful.
The Tommy-gunner avenging his downed comrade several times over!

Although the Agents received a few setbacks, including a Major Injury on one of their number and another fleeing the scene as his comrade went down in a hail of automatic fire, this proved enough of a distraction for Murphy himself to wade into the Cultists surrounding the rigged truck and deal out some serious retribution with his Ministry Issue sword and halt the Device with seconds to spare!

The luck of the Lockswin ran out in the end phase, though, as one of his team succumbed to his wounds and died.
Murphy's Law were sucessful and. as well as saving Murphy's birthplace from devastation, they would also now be eligible for Promotion after 10 wins instead of the usual 15.
Back soon with details of the other two games...
