Regarding the photos: It is very simple use of the editing feature in Photobucket.
Playing around with the options can give a whole variety of vintage-style effects.
I will post the 'recipe' for these later tonight along with brief reports of the other two games played last week...

Thanks Mason for anorher enjoyable afternoon S/A style and yes, agents wielding tesla weapons does have a huge appeal to me.  :)

The senario "Doomsday Device" was quite tough as I had 7 turns in which to difuse said device. It could all have ended very messy indeed if it were not for the heroics of Captain Murphy and leiutenant O'Hara.

Thats 4 wins in 4 now for Murphys Law!
How long will the luck hold out! Hopfully long enough to get to 10 wins and start employing the tactic I will name "The Tesla Takeout"  :D

Looking forward to the next assignment!!

Thanks, styx!
Glad you did.

I was going to put up the 'recipe' for grainy old pics, but I had better give you the run down on the other games played last week first.
As the second lot of games is on Thursday, I had better get the details out now or I will forever be playing catch-up.

As you now know, The Lockswin played the first game as he could get around to mine some time before the others would arrive. We had four games to try and get in so it made sense to try and get his game done and dusted as quickly as possible.

He won the game, but it was a close run thing.
His luck did not desert him this week as he STILL managed to come up with more Criticals than everyone else put together!
He even failed a Resolve test with his Character Captain Murphy, which resulted in him becoming Frenzied and charging towards the enemy and getting to the Device in time before it blew!
I am glad that Bert turned up before we had finished, so that he could witness the stunning flow of '6's!

His luck was not quite so good when he rolled for injuries at the end of the game.
His Civilian, O'Malley, who of the 'tree-inspecting' persuasion, died.
Maybe this was why he had always hung around at the rear in the past. A looming sense of doom....
As his Base Point total was still over 15 after the removal of O'Malley, he will be playing his next game with five members in the team.

On to the game involving Legionnaire Bert and his team led by Aubrey Werther-Minte.
Aubrey would be leading his team on a Specimen Hunt, trying to capture a Ghoul from the clutches of Dr Dixwith-Naycha, the Mad Scientist, and his Zombie 'patients'.
The Mad Scietist was hidden in a location that had been on the 'list' provided by Murphy's Law, and Werther-Minte and his team were eager to capture evidence of his foul work.

Here is a picture taken of Aubrey's team just before they went into action.

I do not have any pictures of the actual game, as we knew that we would be pushed for time, and we still had to attempt two more games after this one.

Things started well for Aubrey and his team when their rifleman took a Zombie out at extreme range with the first shot of the game.
Upon seeing this, the Mad Scientist injected a Zombie with his A-Serum, only to see it convulse madly for a few seconds before collapsing to the ground, spasming and whimpering!

Two Zombies down and only one left to protect him.
Things were looking grim for the Evil Madman!

Not for long, though, as the last Zombie was promptly injected with B-Serum and swelled to a huge size and stomped off towards the approaching Agents, dribbling and frothing at the mouth.
Werther-Minte and the team now had a Blaspemous Construct on their hands!

The Construct proved a terrifying foe, quickly dispatching two of the team in close combat, while the Mad Doc himself shot another with his .45!
The tide had turned dramatically, and the game progressed with the rest of the team trying to stay clear of the monstosity whilst attempting to net the Ghoul.

We realised, after several turns of running around a building, Benny Hill-style, that this game could go on all night, so we all agreed that Aubrey and his team should be allowed to make a 'tactical withdrawal', collecting his injured comrades on the way.

To make matters worse for Bert one of his Agents succumbed to her wounds and passed from this world.

RIP Connie Lingus.

This did take Aubrey's team below 15 Base Points, though, and allowed for a re-equip.
Connie's place in the team has since been taken by a thoroughly reliable young lady by the name of Betty Swollocks, and a stash of dynamite has been secured against further meetings with any more Blaspemous Constructs!

This game had taken so long that there would only be time for one more before we all turned into pumpkins, so Mr B kindly volunteered to play as the Lurkers against Gavla and his team from Hampshire.

This was a much more straightforward affair, a Fight Scenario against members of the Cult.
Their 'church', a disused warehouse on the outskirts of Portsmouth, was on the list provided by the men from Belfast.
A game that began as a firefight in the main street ended up as a mass brawl, a swirling melee of flailing limbs, that was chiefly settled by Robert Gold, the team leader, and his Ministry Issue sword.
The last two Cultists, who had broken and ran from the tussle, were shot down as they attempted to flee.

As the dust settled outside the warehouse, Gold found that one of his team had died in the bloody combat and so they returned to base with their fallen comrade, their previous jubilation at their victory against the diabolical foe dampened completely.

It had been a tough night for the men and women of the Ministry, with each team suffering a fatality, but there were still a few locations remaining on the 'Murphy List' for them to investigate.

More difficult times were certain to follow, so the Team Leaders allowed their people to rest while they could.
Next Thursday night would surely bring further danger their way...

From the journal of Aubrey Werther-Minte, Team Leader Thames Valley M.O.O.S(E).

“I am worried about Isaac, and I fear he is back on the destructive path of abuse once more. The death of Connie, one of the team’s agents, has hit him hard. In truth it has had that effect on all of us. But Isaac in particular tried his damnedest to rescue her from the clutches of that…foul construct. No matter how hard I try to tell him that he could have done no more – indeed, his endeavours were heroic beyond imagining, and very nearly cost him his own life – he simply feels responsibility for Connie’s horrible demise. If anyone should feel responsible then as always it should fall to me, as team leader, for I lead my agents to that God-forsaken place named (CLASSIFIED). And yet I know that it is sometimes a high and, some would say, unacceptable price we pay for safe guarding as we do the security of His Majesty’s realm. The common man and woman must never know of the horrors which lurk in the darker places of the world. They are an affront to the Lord and very sanity itself and these are the secrets we must horde as a miser holds coins to his breast. We must fight in the dark, so that humanity might remain in the light. How trite those words of mine sound now!

“It has been a bad week. I travelled alone to Ireland to be at Connie’s funeral. It was dreadful that the ceremony was unable to abide by the traditional display of the open coffin, for not even the undertaker’s art was sufficient to hide the terrible damage done to that poor young girl’s body. It makes me sick now to think of the bag of broken bones which Regina and I dragged to the safety of the lane outside (CLASSIFIED). Much of the events of that dark evening remain sketchy in my mind’s eye, and for that I am grateful. I don’t know what I expected to be greeted with when I met Conner Lingus – anger, sorrow, accusations. And yet this poor man who had lost his only child in the most hideous of circumstances could not have been more stoically understanding and steadfast in his grief. He spoke of the pride he had for his daughter, that she should give of her life protecting this great realm of ours. He merely thanked me for taking the time to accompany his daughter on her final journey. Through the glaze of tears I thought I could see a fierce pride glinting in his eyes.

I understand the Ministry have already appointed me a replacement for Connie, a stern-faced young lady named Ms. Betty Swollocks. I swear by the Almighty Himself that the forces of darkness will not take another agent of mine lest they take me first myself. I must speak with Isaac, for his present mood concerns me. I understand he signed out a supply of dynamite from the armoury, a development which fills me with no little measure of concern…”

There will not be any gaming for our group this week, as most of us seem to have contracted some kind of contagion, to one degree or another.

Bearing that in mind, I had better post a few pictures instead.

Firstly, I finally got around to basing a couple of figures that I bought from elysium64 last year.
At the time I was not sure what I wanted them for, I just liked them. A lot!

When this current project started the first two quickly joined the forces of His Majesty and become Captain Larjun-Portly and Doctor Poste-Humous.

These two are now joining the forces of Darkness!

First up is a new addition to the Rogue Agency- Mistress Payne

The other is a Werewolf.

He may be another addition to the Rogue Agency or may also be another foul experiment performed by the mad science of Dr Dixwith-Naycha.

Later, I will post the 'how-to' for the vintage-style pictures I have used...

The Werewolf could double as a good degenerate wearing a wolf head.
