Over in Llano, there's one to "the Confederate Dead". It's a favorite with moi; re, coming from New York, I'm in favor of dead Confederates.

You just made me laugh Deaf Nala.

This piece of terrain looks quite quite versatile Mason. I can see it getting a lot of use. Did you think of putting a brass plaque on the side of the plinth?

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Surely something I'd love to see :)

I will get on to them ASAP.
Still a couple of things to finish off, but I can get them done at the same time.

The more clever Cultist suggested having the Idol with a helmet or trench cap to deceive the unknowing. That aside, the alternate Statues, both good & evil, are VERY WELL DONE!
In older towns over here in The States, there are often Memorial Statues in the town squares. Over in Llano, there's one to "the Confederate Dead". It's a favorite with moi; re, coming from New York, I'm in favor of dead Confederates.

Thanks, you nutter!
Cthulhu with a tin hat...?!?
Love it!

Very nice, reminds me of the Masonic Lodge cum Hall of Dagon in my hometown...

Thanks, thebinmann!
It sounds like you live in a very interesting place.

I think it is very versatile, smokezombie.
It already has a statue for Krappefortt (Mordheim):

As for the plaque, I am considering either that or painting in the impression of a carving of letters on the front, so as to keep it versatile.
Not sure which to do.....

I don't want to be possessive but I do not get many good ideas, and Mason has generously credited me with this one in the post with  the photos. ;)

But his paint job (and finishing details) is far FAR better than anything I could ever hope to achieve and brings it to life. And all the alternative toppings are Mason's alone.

Too right, Bezzo!

It was your idea, indeed.
The story behind it is that Bezzo offered to make me something in exchange for some scenery parts that he was looking for.
The only specifics that I gave him were 'something that would work in a 1920's British village scene...'

The rest was entirely up to the good man himself.
He did not even tell me what he had made and was sending to me.

Imagine my delight when I opened the package containing this beauty!

Thank again, Bezzo!

As for smokezombie stealing YOUR idea: Dont worry, as it isnt the first time that he has been known to pilfer a cunning plan.
Is it smokezombie?
 ;)

Still, at least he is honest about it...

I think I'll have to steal the model, rather than the idea...  ;)

Oih!
I am watching you!

Here is the latest thing painted up for project...

Blasphemous Construct MKII

The funny thing about this one is that the idea for painting it came from a trip to the osteopath!
Really, it did!

It was after seeing the poster on the wall depicting the muscle structure that it made me think of this miniature, and I thought it would be fun to try and paint something similar to that picture.
So here is the outcome.

Hope you like it...

Was the piece you got a CP plinth Bezzo or is it scratch built?

Nice Construct Mason, makes me shudder a bit thinking of a situation where you might need two of the buggers!
This fellas a beast, the bandages tie him into the asylum lurkers quite nicely.

I think Bezzo scratchbuilt it...

He is a rather large fellow, isn't he?
Two of them?
You only have yourselves to blame, as it was yourself, Legionnaire Bert and The Lockswin that convinced me that I needed it!
Remember SELWG??

Thank you, Mr Wolf!
I cant keep at it at this rate forever, there are too many other things that I need to do!
This lark will have to stop at its current rate before the end of the month, I think.
I will pop back to this project now and again to add a thing or two, though.
I have so much left to do, and keep finding more things to add.
 ;)

Great work!

Thank, styx!

COOL LOOKING Creepy Person(?)! The exposed muscle coloration turned out VERY WELL.
There are all sorts of creepy, disturbing things that regularly hang out in doctors' waiting rooms.

Great updates - I totally LOVE  :-* the War memorial statue (and its alternative tops!)

Consider that another great idea ripped- excuse me - imported to my Man Cave!
Imitation is the highest form of flattery right ?  :D

Thanks, Amigo!
Glad that you like him.
I try to avoid doctors' waiting rooms for a number of reasons, that being one of them.

As for the Memorial, it was Bezzo's idea, not mine.
I just slapped the paint on.
Steal away, though, I am sure that he wont mind.

I forgot to mention earlier that he is 'Bandaged Head' from Four A Miniatures, who have some great minis in their range, with a few that I will be using for Strange Aeons, some of which that are nearly finished.

To prove just how big the Construct is, here is a comparison pic with the Horrorclix Solomon Grundy and their creator, Dr Hugh Jarse:

Big fella, aint he...?

They are amongst the batch that I am painting at the moment.
Should have them done by the end of the week.
