Bandage face is very creepy and nicely done. He looks like the spawn of Pinhead and one of the nurses from Silent Hill.

Thanks, Skrapwelder!
It is a rather creepy thing.
I think he shall fit in well at the Asylum...

Speaking of the Asylum, I think it is time for another group shot, as the numbers on the patient list have grown a little since the last one...

You may have guessed that the Asylum is a bit of a favourite Lurker group for me.
Hence the amount of models that have been added to it!

The Mad Scientists and their Guards...

Their Creations...

The Maniacs...

...and, finally, the Dead.

I still have two, or maybe three, more Mad Scientists to add before I take a break from Strange Aeons and move on to my next project.
Those two, plus the seven fellas on the table at the moment, and the Missing Link family, should keep me busy up until the end of the year.
Not forgetting the fact that I have to get something else finished before Christmas, as it is a present, will keep me VERY busy, I think.

Of course one of my next projects (I intend to do two at the same time, hopefully) involves painting a whole herd of Zombies, so the Asylum will have plenty of reinforcements to add to the register.

125+ BP's of Asylum Lurkers (when the other two Scientists are finished), plus two Constructs for the Zombies to turn into, should allow for a HUGE multi-player game soon!

Now THAT should be fun!

They look awesome all together and just ooze character and flavour.

Your also quite a dab hand at photography Mason.

...however.... :D

I can't help feeling that the robot and the man eating plant look a bit lonely. Perhaps they need some mechanical and flora like buddy's to keep them company.

What an eye-candy threat! Went through all the pages so morning well spent.

So many great ideas, excellent painting and terrain building plus the splendid AARs (I prefer the "old" pics, thank you very much ;) ).

This has given me quite a many ideas and I will definately need to get the SA rules.

Just a quick question, are the SA games normally played on 3 x 2 board? If yes, that would be great as I am lacking a proper man-cave thus no space for big playing area.

Mason, it's like you robbed a Horrorclix store! It looks like you've touched them up, too...they look quite good, mate.

Dude Dungeon. And yes, 2x3 is the standard, although I've been playing on 3x3 because my wife is keen on .30 caliber heavy machineguns.

The more clever Cultist suggested having the Idol with a helmet or trench cap to deceive the unknowing. That aside, the alternate Statues, both good & evil, are VERY WELL DONE!
In older towns over here in The States, there are often Memorial Statues in the town squares. Over in Llano, there's one to "the Confederate Dead". It's a favorite with moi; re, coming from New York, I'm in favor of dead Confederates.

Some fine local flavour there DeafNala! :) I love that film Glory - some nice comemorative statues in the title sequence.

Wrong thread, but I think the American Civil War has tremendous resonance as both a gamer and a history fan. Got a DVD boxed set on the ACW a couple of Christmasses back, and it's just an epic period of history. Must get around to doing some war gaming in that period sometime...

And Napoleonics...and the French Indian Wars...and WWII...

The South will come again! (South London that is... :D)

Great work on Bandage Head mason! I loved that mini the moment we saw it at the 4A stand at SELWG. You've done a bang up job on it.

Personally, I don't wanna run into either him or his Horrorclix brother anytime soon! Pass the TNT, matron...

Thanks, smokezombie!
There are plans for more bots and pots.
Dr De'Ath-Naylor will have some fungi creations and there is a BCB Robbie the Robot lookalike that I will be ordering when I come back to the project later.
He will be ordered at the same time as the Hybrids.

As for playing area, yes, 3x2 is standard.

She will be one of the creations of your namesake when he is done.

Thanks, superflytnt!
That have all been tarted up a bit.
Very useful for SA and cheap as chips.
Bonus!

Well liking is a bit of an understatement! I'm loving the stuff  :-*

I think I will have to divert some of my time and energy that I planned to use for AVBCW project to SA project :)

Maybe even combine the two... :D

I have also 10 of those oop Foundry 25mm WW1 British that I had planned to use as young wee lads from some private military academy of one of the sides of the AVBCW (prolly Georgians) and maybe they will be used now as a hastily gathered "force" to help the Threshold/MOOSE agents.
Then I had also planned on using gurkhas as a foreign/colonial "volunteer" force, brought in country to help in the fight. Now they might be used to form the SE Asian MOOSE's strong arm, so to speak. I think I need to start my own thread about this all :D Too bad there aren't any period minis in Finnish uniforms and gear although one can get the agents from many different manufacturers.

Pocoloco:
That would seem to make a lot of sense if you already have a lot of stuff for VBCW.
I came from pretty much the same direction: An interest in Pulp and VBCW and acquiring a few figures for the period when a copy of the Strange Aeons rules was up for grabs on the Bazaar.
Seeing as how my curiousity had been tickled earlier concerning SA, I grabbed the book and this project was born.
Another thing that sealed the British setting for my campaign was my existing scenery collection. It would work for European but not the New World, so the result was that M.O.O.S.(E). was born!

If you already have a lot of British style figures then it makes sense to go down that route, in my opinion.

Would you like to join M.O.O.S.(E).....?
The benefits are pretty limited: See strange places, meet strange people...and kill them before they kill you!
There is a great sense of job satisfaction though!
 ;)
