Hopefully get the rest of the Mad Scientists painted up at the weekend.

Well, that didnt happen...

Nearly finished sculpting the Missing Link, too...

But that did!

Having already mentioned before that I was having a go at sculpting a Missing Link, here it is:

A shot with The Colonel for scale:

Hope that you like it...

Lovley job! She's a monster!!!!!

You've got talent there, can you sculpt a few of my dream minis?

Can't quite make out what she's got in her hand though (not the staff of course!)

Nice nice nice!!
Cracking job Mason. She will fit in with your lurker horde perfectly.

The fur looks great and the sitting pose gives it more character.
I'll feel a bit bad killing a lurker that's holding a baby tho  :(

Top work!

The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Thanks, Adam!
It is only my first sculpt, mate, so not great.
I did learn quite a lot and would be more confident with the next.

As for what is in the other hand.
It is a baby link:

Not the best picture, but I still do not see eye to eye with the camera!

I like/love him(?) just as much here as in the Fantasy Section. GREAT WORK!

It's great and that angle shows it all, are you getting it cast, I guess not due to massive costs which makes it unique!

Looking forward to what she looks like with a touch of paint!

I can see the baby, but does it have fur or did you try to make it the actual "link" ie a human bay from a beast, the first himan if you will?

Unlikely, I think.

I can see the baby, but does it have fur....?

It does but, as it is so small, it is not so pronounced.
You can see it a little around the legs and feet and it also has a full head of hair, but from this angle it does not show.

Nice work on Missing Link, she's (I assume female holding her baby?) a big non-hostile type? Will there be more of them?

I have two more members of the family, but they are not sculpted by me (they are sculpted by professionals!).
I have the Four A miniatures ALF miniature to use as the child, and this one one as the mate for my effort:

It was this mini that I used to get the correct scale for my one.

On a totally different note: Legionnaire Bert popped over last night for another run out for his team from the Thames Valley Division.
It was a VERY close run thing!

Here is the set up we used, just to whet your appetite:

I will post the AAR later, once I have sorted out the pictures...

To be honest, mate, I cant, for the life of me, remember.
Sorry.
 ::)

I bought him/it ages ago for a Hellboy project that stalled (typical...), and have no idea.

That is the question I was dreading when I posted the picture....

Anyone else know...?

That's a pretty savage sculpt.  I need to start working on a rural board. o_o
