Top work there fella, great painting as usual. A splash of blue to tie him in with the others. That's a nice touch.
I like the way his gun looks like a crutch too. Cracking sculpt.
Thanks to you  >:(

..... I now have a couple of cult leaders to add to the lurker brood. Including one for my new lurker themed team.  :D keeping them under wraps for the moment tho.

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

I had a thought on "psychics"...it would be a neat trick to get some clear PE resin, tint it with a light blue, envelop it on the model's head, and just before it sets, pull it out like taffy so it looks like the head has a halo with expanding beams of psychic energy. I've never used that "realistic water" stuff from Woodland Scenics, but from what I've seen it would be brill. I've also seen some neat stuff using clear plastic cuttings...you can glue them to a model's head like tree branches, and then do that resin/tint thing.

I think it would look absolutely smashing but I've yet to try it out.

I got the idea from this: http://fantasygames.com.pl/blog/how-to-make-splashing-water/

Figure it could double as "psychic energy" if it was placed right, and tinted right.

Chaps: This project has been put on hold for a while, due to me trying to finish something else in time for christmas.

Please take a look at this link:
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=48785.0

I could do with some suggestions and your input would be appreciated!

You're a lucky man, Mason.

If I tried to paint something and hand it to the wife, even as truly beautiful as your diorama is, she'd cut off my jacobs. No hobby-Christmas crossovers here.

It's >=300$ in clothes or sod off!

LOL

Harsh!
This is not her only present
I am buying her other gifts as well, mate.

As for hobby related, this is more closely related to her hobby than mine...and she collects elephants!

Looks like you have things well in hand there Mason. You've put a lot of thought into that piece and it shows.

Some good advice on the other thread. I like the idea of an info sign for the elephant and having it roped off. Also of having signs of a struggle. Perhaps even making it clear where the spear came from initially. Signs to other parts of the musieum? Perhaps to the department/ part that your fine lady works in.

I actually showed the pic you posted of it to my mum and she was quite impressed.

Now get cracking! Only ten days left. And for gods sake don't let her shake it before she unwraps it!

Cheers for the encouragement, mate.
10 days?

Afraid not....I am working six of those days, and other commitments in days off.
I am hoping that it will be finished, though.

Waiting for her to go out now, so I can crack on....

Wasn't meant as harsh, mate. Not even a little. I was genuinely admiring your relationship. My wife, however lovely in many ways, is a clothes hoarder. :)

I didnt mean that I thought your comment was harsh, just your wife's possible reaction to being given something hobby related.

I had been distracted from my Strange Aeons stuff for a while there, making a diorama for the Missus as one of her Crimbo pressies.
Finally finished that now, so I can get back to tying up a few odds and ends with the SA Lurkers before steaming full ahead into Apocalypse 1929.

Here is the aforementioned distraction:

The WIP thread, with the reasoning behind it, is here:

Back to the SA grindstone next week with a few more Lurkers...
