That is not as bad as it seems....you could always go for this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-43-MAYBACH-Zeppelin-DS-8-Streamlined-Cabrio-TU-1934-/111040048069?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item19da80abc5

That one is simply unbelievable!
 :o

I will keep my eyes open for a more 'reasonably priced' version for you.
 ;)

Cheers - it would be nice. I notice that the marque has been resurrected and new Maybach Zeppelins can now be had - they start of at about half a million US$ for your bog-standard model.

A much more reasonably-priced car than the Maybach Zeppelin would be the Model T Ford.

So here is one with a really quick 'weathering' job:

Shotgun Bob poses for scale as usual, showing that this example is slightly bigger, being a Corgi version.
Nothing too extreme, so I will have no problems using it alongside the Matchbox vehicles.
It also has a nice windscreen, which the others lack.
 :D

What do you think...?

Superb additions to your motorpool Mason, all of them look excellent.

Maybe it's time for the agents to take out Bob the Cultist out of the business and asap before the cult gets too rich and powerful :)

The Agents of the Crown have been trying to get hold of Cultist Bob for some time, but he is proving to be quite a slippery customer.

Is that Arthur Daley hiding under the hood? Or Perhaps Terry McCann?

Thanks, Remgain.

A few of you commented on the vehicles in the past, but I must confess that they are really easy to 'weather' using Modelmates liquids.
I picked them up at Salute last year (Soot Black is the best option, but I picked up Mud Brown as well for a little variety) and am really glad that I did.
All you have to do is paint it on the desired area, and dab it off with a damp bit of cotton wool until you are happy with whats left.
Just that and a little bit of drybrushing, Vallejo Flat Brown for the mud and black, then silver, for the chipped paintwork.
A little bit of brown/orange ink never does any harm to indicate a bit of rusting in small doses.
Dont overdo it, though, or it will look like a wreck.

Simples!
 :D

Pretty easy and quick.
;)

The car, Pete, the car... :D

YET ANOTHER automotive gem! When does the Road Rally begin?

Thanks, Al.
Not sure when it begins, but the motors run out tomorrow.

In the words of Arthur Daley:
"You make contact with your customer. Understand their needs. And then flog them something they could well do without."

No hard feelings, Doug, my old son.
 ;)

Tomorrow will see the end of the vehicles.
I have run out of room to store them.
I finished the bus earlier so, when that gets posted tomorrow, that will be the final one.

yep, by now I am actually convinced that Shotgun Bob is a second-hand car merchant.

Isn't that a nice story for a character?
or even an Avatar name   :)
