I don't know about others, but I see the car park horizontally compressed

I have no idea what is going on.

I did crop them in photobucket to remove the cabinet and replced the original image.
When I first posted them they showed the original image that was deleted, now they seem to be 'stretching' the picture to fit the original picture dimensions......
 o_o o_o o_o

I will try and attach the pictures again.

Fingers crossed!

EDIT: It appears to be fixed now.
At least when I look at it.

Yesterday turned out to be a lucky day for my Strange Aeons project.

I have wanted to build a rural British train station for a while as a setting for some SA games.
The only problem was, I could not find a train in the right(ish) scale at a reasonable price.

Yesterday I was given something by a friend that just might work.
A find at a car boot sale, this may well prove to be ideal for my purposes.

Seen here with Shotgun Bob, not his usual stock to trade, I think it should work.

Yes or no?
What do you think?

difficult to say, I can't see the details very well. A shot of the cabin interior would be helpful.
On first glance a bit smallish. How far are the rails apart?

I know that it is probably a little small as I think it is a toy designed to be played with without track as it has a 'pullback and go' action.

The cabin would be a little on the small side, but I think that I may get away with it.
The rails, if they exist, would be approx 32mm apart.

It is a die-cast toy and is begging for the Modelmates treatment, in my opinion.

I look forward to seeing after you do your thang on it.

Are going to remove the cow-catcher and lantern from the front?

I am quite looking forward to it.
Not sure when I can squeeze it in.

As for the cow-catcher and lantern: the cow-catcher will be removed, not much call for those in Blighty.
Not so sure about the lantern, but most likely it will also go.

I think it looks toyish because it is disproportionate. But it is roughly OK, so with some amount work it will look just fine, I am sure. Does it have a tender?

No tender, I am afraid.
That is all I have to work with.
I guess I will have to convert or scratchbuild something to work alongside it.

Yes, for this kind of loco a tender is necessary.

Why don't You put up a list of spares You need and I have a look on my railway junkyard?

this way I might be getting back into finishing some stuff ;-)
take Your time, the junkyard won't be going anywhere

Cheers, mate!
 :D

I guess I can scratchbuild the top part, it is only a box after all.
I may need some assistance with the carriage, wheels mainly as I dont have anything like that at all.
I will see what I can do in the bits box.

Time to go and Google-Fu some images of tenders, I suppose.
 ;)

Yes, You should start checking out the loco
Yours is a "Mogul" wheel arrangement
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-6-0

of which You can find a  (probably not complete) list here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2-6-0_locomotives

and it might be something like this
