I have just finished setting up the table for tonight's game.

The final scenario, number six, in the Black Dossier: This Green and Unpleasant Land.

Here are some pics of the set-up.

First up, the obligatory aerial shot....

And a more traditional view....

Bert is on his way over right now, so more piccies later...

The hazards of driving down Country Lanes may very well be a greater & more immediate threat to the Empire than the machinations of the Evil Cultists & Morris Dancers. Be that as it may, COOL LOOKING BOARD!

I swear to God almighty, it would very nearly be worth flying to England specifically to play SA with Mason. Oh. My. God.

Again, I love that you do horizontal layouts. They look SO MUCH BETTER than the boxy ones. I've adapted this style myself, in fact, although my rivers have square ends and I refuse to deface them, so they are always laid in cardinal directions.

Such great looking stuff, mate. I mean, I look forward to these wee pictures as much as getting some toys in the mail....almost. :)

That's the good stuff.
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

I would agree, it is more like making visual love with the miniatures than gaming!

Thanks, Amigo!
The crashed cars are not supposed to be indicative of British driving habits, just to represent that this area is the centre of a Zombie outbreak.
They are not exactly known for looking before they cross the road...

The Morris Dancers have not been seen for a while now.
(smokezombie: Where are they....and you?)

Thanks, styx!
That is one way of putting it that I have not heard before.
 lol

Thanks for the comments, chaps.
Just for the record: If any of you fellas EVER find yourselves in London, get in touch.
It would great to have any of you around for a game.

Well, the final scenario was played out this evening.
Now I just have to go through the pictures, chuck out the useless ones and see if I can put together an AAR.
That may take a couple of hours.

To keep you going, I will post some more pics of the set-up in the morning, taken from other angles...

Until then....

I'm still churning my way through all your posts here, but these table set-ups (and the models themselves) are really inspirational, as are the AARs. So much so that the SA books arrived at work yesterday ;)

One quick question. You tend to have your roads at jaunty angles; I assume the ends of these are just tucked underneath your black border sheet, rather than being cut at an angle?

Thats right, EndTransmission, just tucked underneath.
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

I just know that you will love the game.
It is great fun and works wonders for the imagination.

A few more pics of the town.

Oh, so quiet.
Is anyone at home?

Things were evr so still before the Thames Valley team entered the area.
The crop fields on the far side of the church were tantalizingly close.

Cross those fields and they were safe....

Thanks for the clarification. The book so far is really good and I've got loads of ideas bubbling away, I just need to find the time and space to do something about it!

AAH! An idyllic setting: lovely rustic buildings nestled in green & pleasant fields & rolling hills bedeck with a riot of wild flowers with the smell of fresh roadkill & burning vehicles in the air promising an interesting evening.
