Damn fine work. I'd gladly add them to my collection, if the opportunity comes along!
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Very nice!  :-*

And I can't wait to hear what happened to Aubrey and the Doctor!

Thank you, sir!
All will be revealed regarding Aubrey and Dr Jarse, have no fear.
 :D

Very nice job!

Cheers, Adam!
Much appreciated.

I'm impressed...the sculpts are nicely detailed & proportioned with a goodly amount of personality. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks, Amigo!
Your input is always appreciated.
 :D

Are you planning on selling them?

Doug

I am planning on getting them cast up once there are enough for a mould.
If they get a good enough response, of course.... ::)

Nice work, I could stand to add those to my collection also!

Thanks, chaps.
Fingers crossed, they should be available later in the year, once I have finished the rest.

Here are some more pics of the first two.

First up is the casual fella with the carbine at rest on his shoulder.

Many thanks to Malamute and Boot Hill Miniatures for the Spencer Carbine.

The second, rather portly, fella with a double barrelled shotgun.

Shotgun used with permission, and available from, Lord of Jerwood.

More pics of the next two later, hopefully....

The sculpts look great mate. Im liking the guy with his shotgun resting on his shoulder. The creases on the trousers look spot on. They both look cool. Lovin em!!! Looking forward to seeing the others.

Great stuff.  :-*

Hi

I was wondering how you would get around the gun issue in terms of the scuplts later being sold and now I have the answer, you must have used your crystal ball!

He does seem popular.
I actually prefer the big lad, but that picture does not really show his belly and tie very well.
Oh, well.....

I actually started these last year and then got distracted. So I knew that I wanted/needed some firearms.
A trip to visit Andrew May gave me the kick start I needed.
The guns were sourced after that and then I recently got back to the sculpts.

Many thanks must go to Andrew for a few tips and some clay shapers, which have really made life easier!
Cheers, mate.
 :D

More weapons should be sourced soon, but I have a few more to be getting on with until then, including a few weapons that I have made myself

I couldn't live without my clay shapers for sculpting... absolutely perfect for smoothing off a surface.

Great work so far on them. To clear up some of the cracks and joins that are appearing between pieces, I'd suggest a wash of thinned down Miliput. This can be painted into the cracks and washed over the model to smooth things off a bit. I've found this works much better than the GW green liquid, which is a bit chalky.

The one with the shot gun would fit right in with an old west lynch mob. The other one would fit too with a weapon swap.

The Casper connection is a first for me.
Not one I would have thought of.

Plenty, mate.
I wish that I could see better in order to paint better, for one!

The one with the shot gun would fit right in with an old west lynch mob. The other one would fit too with a weapon swap.

When I started work on these, the idea was to make them as useful as possible, so they could be used in plenty of different genres.

The Old West was certainly one of those.

There will be a few weapons that will be a bit later in period, like the Thompson that will appear on a few, but these two should both work just fine for the period you mention.
The other weapon is a Spencer Carbine, so should also be just about perfect for the Old West as it was used extensively during the ACW and would have been used plenty later on too.
 ;)

That is great, I'll look forward to seeing more. I wonder how they size up with the Brigade bushwackers.

I dont have anything from Brigade except some sailors.
I could take a pic and get a comparison with them if you want?

Seeing as you mention it, they should work well with Hillbilly types, as well as any other kind of villain who feels the need to wear a mask, lynch mob, bank robbers etc.

I think they should be fine for post-apoc too....
 ;)
