Just spend the last 3 days reading this thread from start to finish.
It's been an absolute joy to read, the quality of the terrain and minis are fantastic and the battle reports are epic.
A truly inspirational thread, thanks for taking so much time to share your work.
 Looking forward to reading more.
 Cheers BF :)

Wow!
Thanks ,BF.

I am flattered that you took the time out to read the whole thing.
It is proablya little daunting now that it has reached this length.
I am really glad that I didnt bore you to death.

Cheers!
 :D

I do have some WIP pics of sculpts 5, 6 and 7 and may post them later if I get time.
They are nearly there, just need some detailing.
(And number 7 needs a head, but that should not pose too many problems... ::)).
 ;)

Here are those WIP pics of Cultists 5, 6 and 7.

Cultists five and six:

The lady has had some extensive reworking of her overcoat since then and will be receiving a new head later.
The fella will have his legs remodelled later.

Rear view:

These two were the first two that I attempted , but I was never too happy with them as they are here.
I thought that it would be best to wait and go back to them when I was ready.
They are getting a re-vamp and should be finished today or tomorrow.

Number seven:

Rear view:

He is a slightly bigger lad than the others and will be toting a much larger firearm...
 ;)

The Cultists are coming along SPLENDIDLY...#7 definitely look more robust than his fellow Evil Doers. GREAT WORK!

At the moment, from the rear it looks as though number 7 is naked below the waist except for his boots, so I'm not too sure I want to see him completed with his over endowed weapon.  ;)

Thanks, Amigo!
He is slightly bigger, but shall remain in scale hopefully with the addition of his gun.

 lol
He is wearing trousers, have no fear!
I think it shall become much more clear with better, finished result pictures.
 ;)

The fella (#5) is finished, I think, and I just need to give the woman (#6) a new head and a little work on her legs and she will join him. As for the big fella (#7), he has had a little work done to him, and I shall add a little more definition to his trousers before moonshado has any more nightmares!

You can see how much you are improving with each new sculpt, very impressive. You're making me want to break out the GS and have a go at it myself, so your work is definitely an inspiration to others. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and thanks for sharing.

Go for it, diehard.
It is addictive, though, I warn you.
 ;)

Looking good mate! :D

Cheers, mate.

Cultists numbers five and six are both finished.
Piccies tomorrow.

#7 is coming along nicely...

Great sculpts Mason, I'm always happy to see another amateur sculpter's work! I went for monsters myself as the proportions were killing me, but I can see you're using armatures, so you're a step ahead!  :D

I think they're great, personally. You will never be completely satisfied with them (my experience) as there is ALWAYS something you could fix...but this is like painting a room, only the one working on it sees all the "flaws". I have to say I just love the tiny legs the females have, kinda cartoony  so IMO very "Strange Aeonic"

Diehard, if you haven't sculpted anything yet, I might want to suggest you some conversions. Get a pack of plastic human zombies or even better, survivors (but weapons might be problematic as they're modern) and start putting hoods on them, different weapons etc. It's an instant cult and thats something I need to do, too!  :D

You are right, knowing when to stop is the problem.

There is always something to alter, but I am pretty happy with all of these so far.

I have now finished numbers five and six, and I have to tell you that I have bulked out the legs on the female cultist as they always seemed too skinny to me and she gave the impression that she would snap in a strong wind.
I think she looks much better now.

Judge for yourself here are the (blurry, sorry....) piccies:

Before:

Now:

Rear View.

Before:

And at present:

I am happy with them now.
I think they are much better and the idea to wait and go back to them has paid off.

Well I reckon so anyway...

Great looking cultists! Definitely look good now that they are bulked out a bit. And I like the fur on the female cultist's coat. Very decadent!

Yes, looking much better Mason - good (green!) stuff, mate ;). I think the female cultist's legs were a bit spindly before. And the detailing on the coat is excellent.

Cast 'em up, cast 'em up, cast 'em up! :D
