You can only tell so much about a mini seeing it in The Green state. The Dark Nun is MUCH NICER in a sinister sort of way than I had imagined her to be. The brushwork, particularly the freehand on the cowl, is OUTSTANDING. Both the sculpt & the paint job are VERY WELL DONE!

Those are really interesting. Creepy as hell.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Mason, Those sculpts are fantastic! I hadn't given you enough praise before - I couldn't see the detail that you have modelled into them (I should get my eyes checked too perhaps) - so please let me rectify that.

The fish people look very disturbing. All organic misformed limbs and shapes, the clothing sags perfectly over their 'bodies' and their claws are yuck. Perfectly disturbing figures you have crafted sir. I hope for your sake you always wear a mask around them, looks like anything that comes out of them will be highly toxic to humans.

Cheers
Matt

I agree.
At least you have painted a few of yours, I am still stuck on three finished.

While I cannot lay claim to any remark on the painting, I am glad that you seem to prefer the figure in its finished state as opposed to the 'green'.
It does show the figure off much better.

In particular this applies to some of the more recent sculpts, which are very hard to accurately photograph, especially with the mix of materials, colours etc...
They should look much better as castings and more so once painted.

Not my painting, mate.
Eyes still not playing ball yet, I am afraid.

Thanks, Doc!
Creepy?

I wont tell them that you called them 'Fish People', though.
They are very sensitive about that sort of thing.

Tracking mud into the house is one thing, but, with the grass still attached, Mum will have a fit.
The MAGNIFICENT brushwork...love the skin tones/spots...really shows off the quality of the minis. GREAT WORK!

He has certainly done a great job on those little buggers.

He has also painted one of the Hooded Ones and posted it in the Lovecraftian Painting Circle.

And it is exquisite!

Take a look, it is a colour scheme that I would NEVER have thought of, and certainly could not paint.
