Just practice, mate.
And taking a good look at the miniatures in my own collection and working out the order in which things should be added.
That is the key thing: the order in which you add details to the armature.
 :D

i second that !

Dogs danglies. :D

Very appropriate timing for that comment I think. Your getting much better and the detail is getting better too. Amazing effort with sticky tacky clay!

Cheers

The Shotgun Toting Babe & her Afghans are among the COOLEST pieces you've done thus far. GREAT WORK!

I have replaced the earlier photos of the Lady and Hounds and the Nuses with better ones taken today.
Please go back to the previous page and take a look, as I think these pictures are much better.
 :D

Thanks very much, chaps, your comments are very encouraging.
Much appreciated.
 :D

They are indeed Afghans.
They were made at the suggestion of a lovely woman that I work with who owns a couple and regularly brings them in to see us when she is walking them nearby.

They are a right characterful pair, one aloof and regal and the other one more of a scruffy Wookie creature who crashes out on the floor at every given opportunity.

I have tried to reflect the difference between them in the sculpts.

The Lady has been given a similar name to the lady in question as I thought it only right.
 ;)

The Hounds were really good fun to sculpt and posed a different set of questions than a human-shaped creature would, so were a good learning curve, whereas I think that the Lady is probably my best effort so far.

Overall I am extremely pleased with this bunch.
 :D

There will be another Agent to show you later......

Here she is, City Agent #2, Shirley Knott-Marpall

Just two more to make for this pack of City Agents, but that will not be for a while as I am waiting for the first lot of casting to be done first.

Hope you like her...

I say these sculpts of yours are a bit good! Will they eventually be available commercially? They'd work rather well for VBCW...  ;)

I am glad that you think they will work well for VBCW as they are intended to be used as Agents in Interwar-era Britain, so I appear to be doing something right.

They will be made available soon as I hope to send the first batch off this week, with the majority of the 'VBCW-suitable' figures following in a couple of weeks.
 ;)

For those of you interested: I have put all the figures suitable for the 'real world' Interwar period, as opposed to the more fantasy/ Mythos influenced stuff like Hybrids, will be put in the same mould.
The Mythos stuff should be sent off tomorrow with the third mould a couple of weeks behind.

The first mould contents should contain the following:

Hybrids (5 figures)
Others (5)
Survivor Family (4)
Captain Mancave (1)
'Dolly' (1)*

The second mould should contain the following:

Winter Agents (4)
City Agents (3)
Nurses (3)
Lady and Hounds (3)
The Triplets (3)*

*The Triplets being something I have had planned for a while but requires the use of a 'dolly' that is going in the previous mould.
