Spooky Trees- M.O.O.S.(E). Ministry of Occult Studies (England) UD:16/04
« Reply #2822 on: 16 April 2015, 02:15:42 PM »
I have just finished some Spooky Trees for SA.

I have been after some of these for a while now as their 'Scooby-Doo' vibe seems perfect for the setting.
When I saw a bargain on ebay I grabbed them.

The main base has been painted and pimped to match my existing Old West scenery as they will see use there as well.
The trees themselves are still removable and I intend to make some small bases, with a more British theme, so that they can be used as 'Thickets' for various scenarios.

The Baxtervilles investigate the area....

Has Lady B found something......???

I think that I need a few more now.

I really like those trees. Need to get a set myself!

I think that what I like most about this project is how deep it goes. It really has the effect of creating a little world rather than just a single set of characters.

I can highly recommend them, mate.
The whole 'Scooby-Doo Tree' thing just screams the right SA vibe to me.
They will serve other uses too.
 ;)

Well, it did start off as simple side project and just grew from there.
And just keeps on growing as there is still loads more that I would like to add.....

Love those spooky trees. Are you going to remodel Oscar or Archie to be cocking their leg up one of the trees?

Some new recruits to add to the London Division.

Led by Lord Baxterville, this bunch of local agents are known as being a little more 'unconventional' than most....

A shot of Lord Baxterville with his good lady wife....

His methods can be a little 'alternative, to say the least.
In fact, some insist that he is more than slightly unhinged...

Creating Gangs of Adventures whether good or unpleasant nature AND seeing what other Folk create is one of those thing that I truly enjoy. Your latest Brave if somewhat nuts Gang are WONDERFUL...BEAUTIFULLY painted/based & supplied with an ample amount of interesting character. VERY WELL DONE once more!

The Mutton Chop sculpts are full of character, indeed.
Wonderful little creations from Paul Hicks.

I have another band to add to this thread later, painted by Lockswin.
Just have to sort out the bases to match in more easily with the rest of the London Division.
 ;)

The new recruits from London Division are great  :-* Lady D is a stunner or maybe blonde version of femme fatale would be more fitting for her since she is sporting that shotgun  :D

And the small patch of haunted forest looks very fitting for both your MOOSE and OW projects, I used to have quite a number of those a while back but unfortunately sold them, you could have made a proper forest out of them :)

Haven't posted on here for a while, page 167 I think!
Anyway I've finally caught up and must say there's been some great stuff added.
Sculpts, Western batt rep and the Asylum.
Then I discover that MOOSE are still on the go in 1975?
Bertie will be spinning in his grave!
Those new London agents better get their finger out and kick some cultist butt!
Cheers

I know what you mean about those woods.
I intend a few more when I can fit them in the schedule.

Cheers, Frank.
Much appreciated.

There are more reinforcements to the ranks of the London Division.

These were painted by The Lockswin, originally forming his Northern Irish Branch and were shown earlier in the thread.
He decided that they would be better off in my collection rather than left to the tender mercies of his children.
This way he can still use them too.
They have been rebased to fit in with my existing figures.
