Hi all, Mason asked me to paint these figures for him. I suppose they could just as well have been posted in the Interwar section of this site as they look like ladies from the early part of the 20th Century.
When I received them I looked at the figures to see what story they told to me, and I thought they fell nicely into two groups.
The first group I thought would represent a gentleman farmers wife and her land girls ready to protect their land against the many factions who are likely to take advantage of the menfolk being away to try and steal supplies.
The second group I like to think of as a woman of aristocratic bearing with her two daughters and her maid and cook, the cook unarmed carries extra ammunition in the folds of her apron

.
Anyway I'm sure the figures could be interpreted in many ways this is just what I saw in them, I hope you like them.
