Hi all, Mason asked me to paint these figures for him. I suppose they could just as well have been posted in the Interwar section of this site as they look like ladies from the early part of the 20th Century.
When I received them I looked at the figures to see what story they told to me, and I thought they fell nicely into two groups.
The first group I thought would represent a gentleman farmers wife and her land girls ready to protect their land against the many factions who are likely to take advantage of the menfolk being away to try and steal supplies.
The second group I like to think of as a woman of aristocratic bearing with her two daughters and her maid and cook, the cook unarmed carries extra ammunition in the folds of her apron lol.
Anyway I'm sure the figures could be interpreted in many ways this is just what I saw in them, I hope you like them.

Nice work, Jeff.
They look great!

It is always interesting to see what colours people choose for these.
Not many look too similar to any others that I have seen.

Some more of Masons figures, this time five Victorian gentlemen, a Doctor and three asylum nurses and two Victorian ladies who look like they could work in Upsheet Creeks saloon.

Nice Jeff, the paintwork makes them pop!

But.. what is the go with the good Doctor's face? Has he taken too much of S Hombres hair tonic?

Cheers
Matt.

I know what you mean Matt, he's wearing a bloody big pair of spectacles and I looked at a few people wearing glasses to give me an idea how to paint them and basically I think all you can see through them is the wearers face. So I painted his eyes on the surface which gives him a goggle eyed effect lol.
Another option was to paint the glass grey, which I've seen done but when I tried this it didn't look right. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has one.

I overpainted them and just went for the easy option...

I just painted the rims silver with a black/grey wash on the lenses.

(Seen here in his guise as leader of Moriarty's Cabmen Gang).

Hope you don't mind, mate.

They look even better based up.
The bases and paint jobs on the minis complement each other nicely.

A quick paintjob on some of the Cultists who will be added to the Dagon faction...

Not great, but the rather rushed job gives them a 'scruffy' look that I want for these ugly buggers.

They look great. The colour scheme works for that "sackcloth Cultist " look, especially with the skin tones.
