Where are the Perry officers????
Lovely miniatures and with your painting skills they would be even greater. :)

Thanks lads  :)

Are the Brigade games landing party and royal marines available from a UK supplier or is it a case of only available from Brigade in the US?

Only from the US I'm afraid, but I have ordered several times and Lon provides a very quick service - usually delivery within a week or so, Transatlantic. Shipping charges have never been too bad, and provided you order relatively small batches of figures you shouldn't get stung by customs charges.

Have you picked up Perry's marines too?

No, I have my troop of Victrix royal marines, shown earlier in  this thread, which gives me quite enough really  :)

Where are the Perry officers????

Rather like the marines, truthfully I have a disproportionately large number of officers in this collection already Rui. I agree the Perry ones look lovely, but I really don't need them (which is not to say I won't add them at some point!  ;))

Indeed i have to agree with you.
You already have quite a collection. :)
Just that i would love to see them painted by you.
The brigade ones are great. Unfortunately postage to Portugal is high. :(

Finally got round to painting the two water craft from Games of War that I picked up at Salute.

These are really delightful, lightweight resin models. I can't recommend them highly enough. The casting is as clean and crisp as I have ever seen on any resin model. You'd swear they were perfect plastic mouldings if you didn't know they were resin.

And where most wargaming boats resemble floating boxes with a pointy end, these really have a wonderfully maritime look and line.
I hazard that the designer knows real boats, their shape and construction. Because whilst these are obviously not accurate scale models, they do have a very convincing air.
They're cheap too.

In case you're tempted, the smaller one is the Jolly Boat. The big one is the Long Boat. (It has the look of a whaler to me, but never mind. It's brilliant).

As you see, they have good carrying capacity too  :)

Heading for the Peninsular War soon I believe...  8)
