Always wanted to do this--was really upset when eBob pulled the Outpost 31 range  before I could grab the figs!

That looks promising. That's funny because I have the same project with the same miniarures : Four A and Fenris.
I wish I were an octopus to paint more miniatures...Cthulhu must be a great painter

Fenris have some new pieces coming out soon which will be great for this.

Looks like lots of people are going to be starting a similar project.

Like how you have done the little head crawlers.

I remember the John Carpenter flick being my first horror movie ever at the age of 12. Nothing could really frighten me after. Seeing your incredibly gory figures make me chill once again... that´s a compliment though!

Fantastic  :-*

Having finally watched the new prequel and being just about to put on the Carpenter version later today I really must find time to move up the snowcat/snowvee models on the to-do list.....

About fecking time you lazy git! ;)

Love these, there was a great thing project over on Secrets of the Third Reich last year, used GW chaos wolves to great effect and some really nice carpenteresque 'constructs'. Oh and snow bases too! ;)

Edit: posted earlier by someone else. Thib_o bloody lovely and really grotesque.

Better pics of the minis.
The walker Mostly greenstuff and wires, gw zombie, chaospawnparts, a dog head and starshiptroopers bugclaws.

Wormhead

Grasping bite (Heresey sludge gulper)

Jumpers (Pink/blue horrors)

The beast within (Crooked dice)

The helicopters

This one is unfortunately 1/60 so I will se if it will be used.

Sorry Commander no snowbases as they will be mostly inside and only occasionally outside. I prefer the utility of the clear bases.  ;)
I saw those pictures and have saved them for my references, sadly I am no way near that level of conversion talent.

Here are a few base maps that I will use as inspiration for the gameboard but I don't want to replicate the exact bases I think.
WARNING THESE MAPS CONTAIN SPOILERS! Mainly for the Carpenter film, bu also indirectly for the 2011 version.

That is a good question...
I am not sure yet but I want to incorporate mechanisms for fear, trust/suspicion, infection etc.
The players will have control of one character each and can have a few followers that will be governed by the rules above.

I was thinking about the same game mechanics but the trust/suspicion is the hardest part unless may be you use specific gaming cards.

Have you read the free boardgame/cardgame rules or will you use something else ?

This project looks excellent, keep up the good work!

Re: the prequel, I thought it was a bit of a meh result. More a generic monsterfest rather than the oppresive, paranoia-laden original. Not terrible, just disappointingly mediocre.
