Pursuit Special?
« on: April 05, 2012, 05:16:35 PM »
I got some parts from Aberrant and they coincidentally are all highly suitable for a Mad Max Pursuit Special, go figure...

So I've tacked some parts ontot he model.  This is obviously just a mock up, but when I do the model, I think I'll cut the trunk lid off in order to better set the gas tanks in the back, that way they sit lower and more, inside the body.

I also, in keeping with the game, add an auto weapon like the gat here, and some type of armor, at least for the windows.  I plan to keep armor off the body however.

Cheers Mate!  I have no illusions that this is as original as mass produced art, but I have to admit, it is a little bit of a boyhood dream to model the Max car for a game!

Tomorrow I'm off to the other Bart Smit to wrestle matchbox cars away from children!

Been there, done that!  lol

I used a old hot wheels Mustang for my Mad Max car.

One good thing is the Mad Max car is easy to paint. A quick attack with a Matt black aerosol does the job!

Nice work.  I can't wait to see what it looks like once you have painted it.  I used a 1968 Camaro for the basis of my Mad Max car (blasphemy, I know).  I found the GW fule droms quite useful for my project.

Me too! :P

I cut the trunk off today and test fitted the parts, I need some side pipes and then I need to decide open/closed interior.  I'm leaning against armoring it up too much and just have any extra weaps/armor to be on paper as opposed to making the Max car a down armored tank....
