Setting the East Ablaze rules - help needed
« on: April 06, 2012, 03:11:27 PM »
Chaps

Rules close to (proper) printing now, however I am a bit stumped as to an 'icon' to mark pages, chapter headings, etc.  The printers suggestions was a Bolo red star affair, but I dont think that captures it.  Given that I am speaking to the greatest creative minds the world has even known  ;), any suggestions for something that encapsulates the era?

thanks

Steve

A camel or a caravan, perhaps with some mountains as background.

A burning match?
Or a length of burning fuse?

Cross a saber or shaska with a Bergmann MP18 over the 5 coloured star
If you come for the king, you better not miss (Omar)

White Russian cockade or possibly Romanov double eagle alternating with hammer and plow?

The Hammer and Plough is correct for the early revolution, but almost no-one knows that. The Hammer and Sickle works better IMO.

I like the idea of combining both sides in the logo

I'm struggling to get this picture to show. I've done it before.

The Imperial Eagle with a fuse coming from it that's being lit by the Hammer and Plough symbol. Maybe the Eagle on top of a map of the far east/back of beyond with the fuse/lit/hammer/plough thing as above.

Hi Steve,

Can you give us any more information about your rules?

Sounds like they could be an interesting addition to my rules collection!

How about a bayonet and a warlord sword crossed with a star in the background
