Painting blue flames/fire? Advice needed.
« on: April 07, 2012, 06:26:07 PM »
This might sound like a strange request from a person normally painting Dunkelgelb all day long on his panzers, but I actually really would love to know how to paint some blue fire / flames. Any help with this would be most appreciated. Anything is of interests, links, tutorials advice and opionions!

Just gradually shade it from deep blue to light blue to white, that's all I could suggest.

Almost, but I do it the other way round:

To be honest I wasn't sure which direction the gradient colors go so I just kept it open so I can say "it depends from which direction you paint" ;)

Its normally lighter in the middle (where it is hotter)?  So I think Michi's model is the right way round.

Im sure there was a thread on here somewhere that went through the process of painting fire?

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I also found the thread I originally was looking for over at Tom's Booring Mordheim page. However, any other links/suggestions and so forth are most welcome.
