Greetings from Norway
« on: 10 April 2012, 08:05:50 AM »
Hi all,

Veteran WFB player from/in Trondheim, Norway here. I am planning to assemble TYW/HYW/ACW armies, mainly armies from any period or conflict which fascinates me being a history buff and all. I am relatively new to historical wargaming though, so I am not sure about which system to use yet. Regrettably most of the gaming clubs in the region focus entirely on Fantasy and Sci-fi systems, which is fine up to a point. But since I place great emphasis on aesthetics and proper scenery, I find playing at the clubs unsatisfying in that respect. Plus I'm not a competitive player but mainly want to enjoy a fun game over a spectacular gaming table.

Looking forward to start lurking;)

Cheers,
Martin

Welcome to LAF.

I was a WHFB player too, but now I'm exploring better games.

If you like "Fantasy massed battles" my recommendation is ARMIES OF ARCANA.

But, wherever your interest drives you, this forum is an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

Hope you have a long and merry stay with us.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!
