They do look pretty nice, don't they?

How are we supposed to resist such lovely figures?

I can't remember, will you be able to put armour on all the horsies?

And oh yeah, they look great!

Having had my 'grubby mits' on those that I painted up, I have to say that the level of detail on the armour for the riders is staggeringly good - the combination of 3-up design and plastic injection moulding has really worked well. These were test figures I've seen and so I expect the production ones to be even sharper.
The variations of arm positions and weapons also makes the box great value IMHO - worth looking at if late medieval's your thing.

Cheers
Simon.

For those interested - or who may not have got a box at Salute today (if you left it as a late in the afternoon purchase, as they sold out!), I've done a quick personal review of the new plastics on my blog.

Will be starting work on my 3 boxes very soon I hope...
cheers, Simon.

I've started on mine already Simon  :)
They hadn't sold out when I hit their stand at one minute past 10!
I shall look forward to reading your review. I think they are lovely, although the weapon arms are not quite as useful as I thought they might be, and I'm not struck on one or two of the new heads. Also, the mould lines seem more pronounced than on the previous boxed sets. But, these are tiny grumbles. Overall, I love them, and have already concocted a couple of devilishly ingenious builds  >:D  ;)

I'm not sure if anyone else felt this way, but I found myself anticipating this set more to see what the Captain can do with it than what I can do with it!
