Interesting Old/Weird West Kickstarter project
« on: April 19, 2012, 02:43:51 AM »
Saw this over on TMP, according to the makers the miniatures will all be sculpted by Ian Mountain, so good sign there.

Now they had me sold at Mummy Outlaw but the rest sound like fun too, have a look!
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Thanks for the mention goon3423!
(I've lurked here for ages and decided to post here as soon as I saw you suggest posting this on other forums :) )

Here's the list of miniatures we're planning:

Quote
ABRAHAM LINCOLN - The 16th President of the United States. With an Axe
vs
VICTORIAN VAMPIRE - This undead Cockney geezer hitched a ride to the Old West

BILLY THE KID - Outlaw and one of the most excellent gunfighters of the West
vs
AMERICAN WEREWOLF - Tales of this wolfen fiend have reached as far as London

INDIAN PRINCESS - A brave huntress that doesn't back down in the face of evil
vs
MUMMY OUTLAW - This ancient egyptian now stalks the western frontier for victims

Even though it was on the set of "The Face of Evil" that she had her picture taken?
Back from the dead, almost.

Fans of Genre TV and Movies should enjoy this line of miniatures. Make sure to take a close look at the other descriptions as well.  ;)

Hmm.  Well I get that Billy the Kid probably has a friend called Teddy, and that the Shaolin Monk was once a grasshopper (and is fighting someone from Little China), but that's as fas as I go.

I suppose its too much to hope that the cockney geezer who hitched a ride might be this one?

Modified: Oh, hold on.  Did the Mummy Outlaw once encounter a King and the former leader of Camelot?

Sounds about right to me. :)

The Cockney Vampire knew the ripper when he was just a nipper.

No worries, anything that helps get more 28mm Old & Weird West minis out there. I figure if we get enough eventually I'll get all those little odds & ends that I'm looking for  :).

We've updated our IndieGoGo page with more concept art (the Victorian Vampire), a short video, new bonus PDF goodies for contributors, and I've just heard from Ian that he's starting work on the first miniature -- so we should have a photo of the first sculpt before the end of the campaign. :)

Yes, these will be 28mm and I'd like them to be in scale to Ian's other miniatures (so stuff from Crooked Dice, Zombiesmith, etc) and look good alongside Forrest Harris' stuff (Knuckleduster).

Long as they scale with Artizan & newer Foundry I'm a happy camper.

Just saw this for the first time. I'm on board if only for the Abe Lincoln with Axe figure!

We're at 63% and have 1 week left to get enough pre-orders to create the entire set. (Yikes!)

Our gallery page includes the concept art for some of the other western figures, and we've posted a photo of the green for the first figure.

We're partnering with Ainsty Casting and making 22 special packs of Resin Terrain + Weird West minis available.

For $75 you'll get all 6 miniatures PLUS $50 of Resin miniatures from Ainsty, with free shipping. Ainsty sells resin boats, buildings, dungeons and other great looking scenery pieces. We're thrilled to be able ot offer this limted perk and will be extending this to the people who have already contributed at the $100 level.

Only 7 days left to get enough pre-orders (Yikes! :o )
