Turkish Big Guns
« on: 10 May 2012, 07:09:56 PM »
Finally got around to assembling the “parts “of the Turkish 150mm battery, which we discussed on another thread earlier this year. :D

The figures are the brushwork of Mark Hargreaves of Overopensights fame and renown. The guns are JTFM SiG 33 150mm with the gun shield replaced with a more WWI style.

More work to the guns trail and extended barrel length was I am afraid beyond the scope of my requirements … not to mention my modelling skills.

Now all I need is a target ... >:D

I have of course already anticipated that rather predictable antipodean “masterstroke”  ::)
And have prepared the following humble reply …now’s your time Abdul >:D

The Turkish Lancers are Great War Miniatures WWI French Dragoons with Woodbine Turkish heads supplanted on them.

The gunners are mostly Perry Mins. Egyptian gunners with Woodbine Turkish head swapped again. The “telesales bloke” and “squinty” at the gun sights are Woodbine with a Brigade Games infantry officer observing and Copplestone officer looking on. The third officer in the tropical helmet is an Austrian "Specialist” i.e. a Perry Sudan head on a Brigade Games figure courtesy of “Tommy” Hargreaves

Lovely work. I think the guns really look the business. Never mind the length of barrels and trails they look great as is.
