Where to buy Mekatank walkers
« on: 13 May 2012, 11:10:51 PM »
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best/cheapest place to get the Mekatank robot walkers? I learned about them from the "NUTS!: War Without End" rulebook and they look pretty awesome. I came across this storefront that had them: link. I just thought I'd see if anyone else knew of other retailers. Thanks in advance!

The only place I've ever seen them is at quarter-kit.com. I own the one that looks like a walking jagdpanther.

Do you feel it was worth buying at that price?

I like the look of the Jagdroboter, but really like the Wolf mekatanks the most since they fall into a new single-crewed light mech category you can't get from DUST or from Gears and Guts' 1/56th scale Gear Krieg line:

I have a nice collection of these kits now.

The kit itself is very well made, and can be used in a number of gaming systems (SOTR, Dust, NUTS!, etc...). It is a mixed media kit (resin and metal parts), but all the parts are very well cast. If you enjoy fielding unique models in your army, the model is worth the price of the kit imho. Hope this helps.  :)

By the way, here is a Mekatank vehicle guide for NUTS! War Without End that contains all their current kits plus a scenario that puts some of them to use.
