Myself, Malamute and Dr D'e'ath had a little Robin Hood bash today to try the rules and refresh our memories etc. Can't remember what they are called but I'm sure someone

will tell us.
The game was basically three groups of about 9-10 figures. One group of 'woodsmen', one group of the false-kings men and one group of heroic kings men (me

).
The initial board layout

My group moves towards the village to try and protect the church from a villainous band of roving knights under the false king John.
Unfortunately a band of wild woodsmen are making for the church live stock and let loose with a barrage of bow shafts taking out two spearmen.

My loyal band of faithful retainers were then mercilessly set upon by the group of un-true knights and quite resoundingly beaten

Meanwhile, the dastardly woodsmen were taking advantage of the nearby ruckus and were trying to steal the local sheep (for what purpose one can only guess...)

Unfortunately, my followers had to yield to the enemy (better to live and fight another day) and so we joined forces and started toward the woodsmen.

But to no avail, they got clean away without a single casualty and F**king Massive John even managed to steal two sheep, one under each arm

A final salute from Bill Crimson (Will Scarlets cousin) was all that was left to us...

Figures from the collections of all three players (a mix of manufacturers) and all the terrain is mine, some old, some new.
Good, quick but fun game with plenty more in the pipeline

cheers
James
