@ Michka - I have bought metal miniatures from the McVey store and they are exceptional in both sculpt and quality. I wouldn't let the Kickstarter tarnish that and it certainly wouldn't prevent me from buying his stuff... it would be a shame to miss out on the good stuff just because of a product that was partially/mostly taken off his hands.

But it's all horses for courses. If you feel that strongly then, as you are doing, I would always say 'vote with your wallet' so I certainly can't disagree with your intent.

I had unrealistic expectations. I was expecting the to get some fantastic figures for next to nothing. The deal was too good to be true.
well thats how they advertised their Stuff,i remember very well that Video with Mr McVey himself saying how impressed he is with the Quality of the Miniatures, while they showed us the Resin Version of the Minis  >:( :-[
most recently Impact Miniatures doing the very same with their Plastic Resin Teams:

NOTE: These figures are all made from Plastic Resin NOT White Metal Pewter. We know money can be tight so these high quality detail figures let you game on but without breaking your bank.

here's the Link

needles to say,the shown Minis are the expensive Metal Versions  :-[

I just want to echo Stone Cold Lead and say that everyone here who was unhappy with the final product, especially those who felt deceived, should email the Studio to make a formal complaint.  They're not likely to know about it on here.

Already have.

I got the seconnd half of my Sedation wars stuff this afternoon.

What to say.... Mixed bag really. I'm happy wth a couple of the sculpts, especially Ramirez.

The casts in general seem a bit sharper, all though this has also translated into more mold lines. I put Ramirez together and cleaned her up, what a ball ache, horrible stuff. Still persevered and I'm chuffed with wth fig.

However the Hexen and Engineer/Mechanic figs are terrible. they've shrunk so much they look more like 25s than 28s. Unusahle with the rest of the stuff IMO.

The resin alt. Kara is a nice fig, but seems very chunky next to the other stuff. The sharpness of the resin cast unortunately only serves to highlight how soft the rest of the stuff is. I also seem to to have a casting defect on this fig, specifically on the right side of her helmet there seems to be a blob where there should be a cavity behind the cheek guard.

I'm guessing that complaints and returns/requests for refunds are better directed at Cmon rather tha Studio McVey.
I will say one thing for CMON, their customer service has typically been very good, so I hope they'll be able to sort out my problems pretty quickly.

I think I will also send an email to McVey to express my dissatisfaction with the kickstarter and the game  as a whole. Seems like a good idea although I find it difficult to believe that they don't already realise what a dissapointment it has been for many people. :-[

"I'm happy wth a couple of the sculpts, especially Ramirez."
wish I could say that - she's the worst of the casts I've received (bloody misplaced her now, too!).
I've just arrived back from a week's break and had another look at the SW stuff and I have to say that not all of them are as bad as i first thought. The 'suits' look ok as does the not Firefly crew and the drones are really nicely cast (in a different plastic). have to agrre about the very small scale of the majority of them. I'll get back to you...

Have yet to receive mine either. I keep getting useless updates telling me that "it's on the way!" "We're working hard to..." Etc...etc..etc.. Getting tired of the Bullsh#t excuses, poor quality of my models, and rules that needed almost immediate replacement. Horrible return for my investment.

Got mine today, two months after my shipping notice  >:(

The terrain set is great, a fantastic start to a sci-fi scenery collection with crates, barricades, control panels, cryo-chambers and 10 nasty alien growths.  And lots and lots of doors.  And all in polysytrene - yay!

Resin Kara is a lovely crisp figure.

The rest are a mixed bag.

Morgan (Biohazard Suit) Kara (Battlesuit), Barker, Vokker Dargu are all OK - in size and detail they fit in with the base set (which I'm OK with).

Facecrabs are fine, but more mouldlines over fine detail...

The Calamity not-Mal and not-Jayne are OK ( a bit lacking in facial detail though).

The drones don't really do anything for me at the moment - just bits of blue plastic.  Maybe painting them and getting some weathering and decals on them will make a difference, or maybe they'll end up as vaguely "scifi" detailing on a another project.  I suspect the latter.

The rest are small, spindly figures with nasty mouldlines and poor facial detail.  Jada, Keegan, Dr Ridley, Hexen, and not-Zoe and not-River from the Calamity crew are just poor minis.

If I hadn't bought the terrain set, I'd be feeling a bit sorry for myself right now.  You know that I've defended this project, but I'm not impressed with this lot.  Terrain and resin Kara are great though.

In fairness they sent out a message a couple of weeks after the shipping notices were sent to apologise for that. They printed all the address labels etc for the boxes in preparation and the UPS system sent out automatic emails long before the boxes were ready.

I git mine yesterday.

I'm really disappointed with the drones. These things are supposed to be dropped by the drone tanks we already have and they aren't that much smaller.... Similar issue with the head crabs, they're huge.

The terrain set is great though!

So many projects..... so little time.......

I have to say that what whatever I feel is substandard will go back for a refund.

It's also seriously putting me off mantic's dread zone as they've admitted to using the same plastic for their ks pledge figures,  but with better quality conttol......

Here's hoping
